Happy Thanksgiving to all of my Fin bothers and sisters. I hope your day is filled with joy and peace!

Well, Ryan Tannehill is clearly a different guy out there. There was a moment in the Denver game where he was back in shotgun and the camera zoomed in and you could see his eyes. For the first time since he's been our QB I saw the look of a guy in total command. His eyes were scanning the defense, reading the coverage and he looked like freakin' Troy Aikman for a second. I'm NOT saying he's Troy Aikman but for one second my mind flashed on the comparison. Tannehill, thanks largely to Bill Lazor, is a much smarter and prepared QB. He has shook off his status as a newbie and is starting to become a weapon!!! That's huge!!

We have our QB!!!!!!!!!!! Period, end of story. The best news of all is that he sky is the limit for our 6'4" QB who has a big arm, is a slick ball hander, is tough as hell and is a threat to make big time plays with his feet. It's Thanksgiving and our Dolphins have their franchise QB and I think he has a brilliant future! Now let's make a playoff run starting with crushing the Jets on Monday night!!!!!!

Happy Turkey!!!

It's all about confidence he has it. And he will get better at the deep ball too. When he gets confidence in the deep ball. Look out. He will join the elites

Nick, if he'd throw the deep ball a little bit higher Wallace might have a chance to run under it. Also, why are all the deep shots so close to the sideline? The margin for error is so small that everything has to go right, and it rarely does. Maybe if we designed some routes where Wallace starts up the sideline and is led toward the middle of the field he could better track the ball and use his blazing speed to lose the defender. I'd love to hit a couple of bombs against the Jets on our way to hammering them 45-13!!!

I think the sideline throws are tougher throws....but allows RT to get rid of the ball a bit faster which has been a good thing with our O-line issues. However, I fully agree with your point, as it is possible to "throw a receiver open" by using the middle of the field to allow him to run away from the CB defending him. Although....that brings the safety into play in a lot of coverage schemes.

It will come.......we have seen RT evolve in all other areas.....the deep ball will evolve as well.

Since the London game the guy has been completely different, prior to that even his biggest supporter would have to agree that he was looking like a wasted top 10 pick and 3 years of development. With the exception of the Jags game, he's been consistently good to great ever since. He's won me around for sure, if he keeps this level up for the remainder of this season then we should be looking at getting those contract talks started in the summer.

I dont think he's ever struck me as someone who is "afraid of the moment".

If Jarvis Landry catches that pass that is a different football game.
Of course if the Defense actualy showed up thats a different ball game all together.

Vaark, it's an honor to have someone with your wit and intelligence jump in on a thread I started. And you threw in the word atavistic!! Gotta love it!! Happy Turkey!

One day, hopefully in the not too distant future, the offense, defense and special teams will be in the "zone" during the same game. God help the team we face when that happens ...

Sometimes I think Wallace runs the routes incorrectly. He needs to leave a little room along the sideline.

Before the Raider game I had doubts that Tannehill deserved to be the Dolphins starting QB in 2015; now I have doubts whether he will not surpass Luck and Wilson as the best QB of his draft class.

And if perchance Philbin's motivational ploy after the loss to the Chiefs lit the competitive spark that Tannehill now displays, then kudos to Joe.

He's in command out there. Gotta love it.

Work on the deep ball in the offseason and he's got the whole package.

Plus, if there's someone I'd love to be successful it's him - I got to watch the super bowl last year w him (started a thread on it) and he's about the nicest person you'll ever meet. Good for him.
