I don't like these comparisons but here is a crazy statistic I just saw:

Foles had 331 yards passing tonight. 233 were from YAC. That's insane. That's... impressive.

I think that's what our offense is trying to do with the dinky screen passes. The difference is that we don't have LeSean McCoy and Darren Sproles, and a freakishly good downfield blocking OL.

Because we have the YAC legend Brian Hartline. :chuckle:

And we have Lamar "brick hands" Miller. If only we still had Reggie Bush around... (but poor Principal Philbin couldn't handle an actual leader on the team, so we can't enjoy that)

Don't get me started, Skape. Reggie is just what the doctor ordered for this team and... he's in Detroit.

Brian Hartline tripping over green grass is not even the issue here. The big problem is that we don't have anybody who can catch a pass out of the backfield and take it to the house. I mean there's Lamar Miller, but if he even figures out how to read his blocks he probably dropped the ball in the first place.

We did once. His name was Reggie Bush and the coaching staff refused to use him accordingly. It was one of Philbins defining moments imo.

Do just cause those 3 are playing ****ty means it's ok for Tannehill to play ****ty?

Stats don't mean ****, when most of the passes thrown are not placed well it becomes a problem.

Bingo. Demand your QB make the plays that are there to be made on the field. I don't care if Nick Foles is regressing. Did you actually see Nick Foles' statline from 2013? After the numbers he put up last year, you had one of two choices with Foles:

1. He is the greatest QB to ever play the game and it's not even close.
2. Good young QB with statistical anomaly of a season.

Doesn't mean he sucks, he's just coming back to earth.

With better ball placement Tannehill is a top ranked qb so far this year and this whole board is high on Tanny. Nope, he has been throwing the ball ****ty and we're trying to make ourselves feel better comparing him to qbs that are playing ****ty.

What has it come too.

I have seen that man trip untouched so many times it needs to be put into a blooper reel.
I can only conclude he's a bit of a dork on his feet. Great hands, good effort guy. Can't turn and run without tripping over his feet.

I still don't understand why so many people on this board were ok w the non-resigning of Bush. He was darn productive here in an offense that didn't accentuate his strengths - proved that he could get it done regardless of how you used him. And when Philbin or Ireland called him a "luxury" (in reference to not wanting to resign him) I just didn't get it - still don't. The dude had over 1500 yards from scrimmage last year w Detroit. F--k me.
