He is currently on pace for 3,950 yards but im pretty sure he will eclipse 4,000 and if he does he will be the only phins QB do that besides Marino. Shouldnt that atleast count for something? Culpepper couldnt do it not harrington not fiedler not beck not freotte not henne.

In this day and age of the NFL everyone throws for 4,000. It's not a knock on Tanny, it's just that throwing for 4,000 is common place now. If this was 10 years ago I'd make a bigger deal about it.

Edit: Sorry, not everyone...only 1/3rd of the league does it. It just seems that way now.

If he can cut his pics in half the rest of the way, that number will look even better IMO.

Just avoid the INTs and I will be happy with whatever yardage he winds up with.

I'd rather him be on pace for 30+ touchdowns. that too would be a marino only thing.

in todays nfl, unfortunately, this is no longer impressive. It's becoming a necessity.

Even in today's league 4000+ is still pretty impressive. That's a lot of yards......but there still needs to be a lot more TD's than INT's and those yards have to translate into wins.

Considering our running game, Henne, Beck any of them would end up with major yardage. Look at his efficiency yards/att, comp %, Those are better indicators.

I think it's nice to seem RT being productive, but a comparison to Culpepper, Harrington Frerote, etc isn't saying much! haha

Precisely this

This is the right idea.

We're currently 13th in the NFL in passing yards per game but only 23rd in yards per attempt.
