Don't not ask this kid to go out there do battle with the likes of Brady, Luck, and such all the time. Obviously he can't be a game winner so lets run heavy and play defense. Works for Kansas city and Alex Smith. Btw, I don't think Alex is better than Tannehill.

Tannehill couldnt manage a shoe store, much less an NFL game as a QB.

It's so great that after two Hall of Fame QBs, the current goal of the Dolphins is to have a "game manager" under center. Oh, and we spent a top 10 pick on said "game manager."

Somewhere Wanny and Fiedler are laughing their asses off.

It would be nice if we could say he was our worst top 10 draft pick in recent years ...but we can't.

Maybe he should be the team manager and book flights and hotels, plan for breakfast buffets at away games. It's the whole package of negatives-

truly awful pocket presence
holds onto the ball too long, leading to sacks and no doubt pissing off his OL
doesn't know when he should run and actually use his athletic ability
low release point that reminded me of Uncle Rico a couple of times yesterday, plenty of blocked passes
poor accuracy and timing of throws- medium range he's ok on outs and curl ins, but he's not accurate on crossing patterns and sometimes lousy on even the short passes- he doesn't throw a particularly easy pass to catch
abysmal deep ball- an ongoing major concern. he threw one deep ball down the right sideline yesterday that was so far out of bounds i couldn't believe it- he was rolling out a bit buy hardly being pressured. just a purely awful pass
how often does he actually read a defense or go through a progression?

That is part of Ryan's problem... no identity still. He s/b used like R Wilson & A Smith; smart, mobile, game manager.

I don't think he has the smarts for it..i don't were good enough around him either

Tannehill not smart? Really? He's up there w/ S Young and Alex Smith (both played College ball in Utah FWIW) in term of intellect.

If you are not satisfied w/ Ryan's gray matter... V Young & T Pryor are avialble. :d-day:

For a QB to be a 'game manager' in todays league we would need a BEYOND ELITE D, and one hell of a run game.

Dolphins D is far from elite, we have our moments but LB play is horrible.

Run game so far is decent but Miller is no Shady McCoy.

If you can't score 21 points consistently in the NFL you are not going to win many games.
