I hate to say it. I would love nothing more then Tannehill coming back for the playoffs. But if the reports are accurate with the ACL being "partially torn" then wouldnt it be in the best interest to get the guy into surgery and prepare himself to come back next year? Even if he is back, he'd be limited in his mobility. We all saw what happen with RGIII, Not saying Ryan is the same as RGIII, Ryan is way better then him in many aspects of the game. I just fear he could injure himself worse and suffer something long term in his health. I trust Gase to make the best decision for the team.

I'd say he doesn't come back though. As much as I want him to come back... :(

Are we even sure he needs surgery? Given he is seeing James Andrews, I think they will make the right decision regardless.

If he was as hurt as you think he may be, they would have put him on IR already. Gase is not dumb.

True,

Partially tore though doesnt heal on its own. But again this are just "reports"

as I said. I trust Gase and the staff.

If he was going to get surgery it would probably have been done right away

I think we should let the team and RT handle it as they see fit.

I say calm down and trust the medical experts...what about our handling of Pouncey and Jones makes you think our medical staff and Gase would risk Tannehill's long term health to rush him back?

Get a grip.

Don't know if he needs surgery or not, but I agree with the OP. I'd keep Tannehill out and not risk a further injury.

Tannehill was walking around fine at practice today. He didn't have the crutches either so I'm pretty sure at the very least he doesn't need surgery.

Well that is your opinion but I'd rather trust the process that Gase has in place as far as bringing players back. Tannehill visited the Dr recently and I'm quite certain that if there was a setback, they would have mandated that he have the surgery done. Clearly that was not the case since he has the cast removed and is now wearing a brace.

was thinking exact same yesterday, OP.. go see Dr Andrew asap!

Maybe you missed this: "Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill is taking a proactive approach in the treatment of his knee injury.

According to multiple sources, Tannehill visited noted surgeon James Andrews in Pensacola, Fla., this week and received treatment on his left knee.

What’s clear, sources emphasized, is that Tannehill isn’t simply sitting back and seeing if the injury will heal on its own.
