Ryan Tannehill has been sacked,hit & hurried 49 times this season in his 141 passing plays.That means he's under duress every 2.9 drop backs.



But yea, its tannehills fault and he sucks....
 
I agree with your sentiment but don't expect too much rational conversation on this subject. I think everyone has already chosen sides and become emotionally invested.
 
Feel bad for him, would put up much better numbers if he was upright. Our o line is terrible, should start rolling him out or throw quick passes. I can't believe he's still alive after the amount of hits he's take it 3+ years. If nothing else this kids is tough
 
Whether your QB is the 2nd coming of Dan Marino or not, you can't give up that kind of heat on your QB. Brady won't have 49 the entire season. There are always going to be some plays where a guy holds the ball too long etc but I don't see that anymore from Ryan. The guy is now in his 4th year of getting battered. He may be a tough kid but no body is made to take that pounding week in and week out. Ross just shelled out a massive amount of money to Tannehill. Apparently he doesn't care about protecting his investment.

It's everyones fault. The coaches, front office and the players (including Tannehill). Alot of quarterbacks are under duress and somehow find a way to at least make various throws that help their teams to win. I understand that our offensive line is literally trash cans wearing jerseys, but so are other teams with younger qb's. He has to make the throws count when he has the opportunity. For petes sake, throw the damn ball inbounds to your 6'3 receiver on 4th down from the 2 yard line. It's not all his fault, but he is definitely playing his role in the fins being 1-2.
 
I feel bad for him. I think he would be really good on another team. I just don't see how people can say the QB sucks when he has a terrible O-line and running game every week. The WRs are even dropping passes now. He's not perfect, but we have FAR bigger problems. He's as good as you're going to get unless you want to draft another QB and really start over again.
 
We heard the same thing with Beck, Henne, etc. However when Penny took over we didnt have those problems. Players have come and gone, oline coaches have come and gone, RT does his same ol'.

Penny? As in Pennington? AKA Captiain Checkdown? The original Checkdown Chad? Yea, we didn't have those problems because all he did was throw 5 yard passes. People act like he did no wrong with his style of play because it got a playoff birth yet say that we will never get a playoff birth with Tannehill doing it.

I don't understand some of these comments anymore...

The O-line is basically the same since Tannehill has been here. A disaster. Pouncey is still here. The guards still suck. The tackles are still a problem with Albert being hurt. I don't see how that is on Tannehill. The real constant is Philbin and the management because they can't build an O-line to protect their investment.
 
I think you wanted to say noodle arm, not check down. I'll give the benefit, you are passionate about RT.
 
Some "fans' need to check Tannehill's passing charts for downfield throws.
