Does anyone know when this will be done? I read somewhere they were lining them up, but I did not see any dates.

No updates or any more information as far as I have seen. You would they would/have happen this week.

He needs to quit procrastinating and just have the surgery. Get a 2nd opinion and be done with it. No need for a 3rd, 4th, 5th..... etc.... the longer he waits the longer it will take to heal.

well no matter what from what was said, 4-6 weeks of not having a surgery anyway. so within this time period, I'm sure he will get the opinions

I think he could possibly wait another month to do the surgery and still be fine. We will not see him again until next year anyways.

It would certainly seem, after the knee proved "unstable" under stress, if Thill wants to continue as a professional athlete he needs
to have a reconstructive procedure and not just leave the ligament to fend for itself (albeit with the help of stem cells and baby aspirin).

He took the 1:10 odds that it would be fine last time. He will continue this until he finds another Physician that will give him a sliver of hope to avoid the knife. At this point (*unless the physicians are waiting for swelling to subside*), Tannehill has an irrational faith in his healing powers, [removed by staff]

With surgery late in the season last season - he very likely would have missed this season.

Any statements about his decisions to not have surgery late in the 2016 calendar year that does not include the probabilities of his missing this entire season are misleading.

In most cases, most physicians, in most medical conditions will advice that a patient keep as much of their own tissue or organs as possible if in fact it is medically safe to do so.

Tannehill went for stem cell implant because it is the least invasive, potentially least interruptive procedure for his athletic career....IF!

Well we know the rest - that IF turned out to be a failure for for him....

But likely the same option is on the table for him....

That is continue as an athlete without reconstructive surgery...

I have no idea how this works or what medical advice he is being given...

But if he does have surgery now - there are no guarantees his leg would be ready for next year...A 14 month recovery puts him into Nov 2018...

He might be fortunate and have a 10 month recovery and be back for training camp next year....

It is a tough break for him in his career.

He will be back eventually - maybe not with the Dolphins...

Who knows maybe Gase believes in him that much that we will continue to bank on him - but it seems unimaginable right now...

The hell guys???

Just because YOU don't have YOUR answers on YOUR timetable, you assume they're just sitting back, procrastinating, and pretending nothing happened?

A lack of details isn't the same as a lack of progress.

Stop being armchair doctors/GMs/coaches.

I don't have any sources, but my speculation is that Ryan is delaying surgery to help Cutler get acclaimated to the offense and the team. I suspect he'll be getting the surgery right before the season starts, if at all.

After an injury they have to wait till swelling goes down anyways...I'm sure the best doctors are on it....I blew my ACL skiing and it took me a year + 1/2 to feel normal....but I didn't have the the science & rehab attention these guys do...best of luck to him.

My only worry for Tanny is that Cutler comes in and lights it up (under control) like we haven't seen since Marino (don't get me wrong I would love to see that happen & under Gase it just may)....then Tanny may be looking for another team next year...bad timing for injury...but by all accounts Cutler banged out his first practice without missing a beat...dude has an arm!
