With Tannehill supposedly 'turned loose' more to run with the ball do you think he will get over/under 50 yards running?

I think he gets over 50 with him breaking a big one of at least 25 yards.

I wouldn't be surprised...I don't think the team will have more designed runs then they have run (1 or 2 a game), but I could see him tucking it more to keep drives alive (at least that is what I hope happens).

I don't see that as the norm. Aaron Rodgers can run almost just as fast as Tannehill if I'm not mistaken. but he doesn't run he's a pocket passer like Tannehill.

Don't want him running a lot for sure but just when the opportunity presents itself for a big play and certainly head out of bounds or slide to avoid contact.

Would like to see him run it in on the last play for the game winning score.

Screw Brady, Belichick and the Patriot Nation in general.

I would like to see him pick up a couple more first downs, on 3rd down, by running. I know throwing it away when no one is open is a good decision but picking up that 1st and moving the chains can be a great decision... just slide!

My bold prediction:

If it's goal-to-go from around the 5 yard line, Tannehill will run the QB draw, the same play that Matt Schaub always killed us with.

I don't recall Tannehill ever running a QB draw. This is the week to unveil it.

Tannehill was kept from running early on

Miami quarterback Ryan Tannehill broke an impressive 48-yard run off a read-option play Sunday at Pittsburgh and has run more effectively over the past four games than at any time in his first two seasons.

In the past four games, Tannehill has run 13 times for 135 yards compared to 23 runs for only 85 yards in the first nine games. As a rookie, Tannehill rushed 49 times for 211 yards. Tannehill was an option quarterback in high school and played wide receiver during his first two seasons at Texas A&M.

Yet, not having him run more has been part of the plan all along, Dolphins offensive coordinator Mike Sherman said.

“I wanted to make sure that we developed his skills as a quarterback,” Sherman said. “He’s going to be recognized as a pocket quarterback before he’s going to be recognized in this offense as a running quarterback.”

can't allow Pats 11 over 10... RT's gotta be the X-factor; if only in situations of hard outside rush, step up and find grass. done enough it'll get Talib down toward LOS - givng RT chance to square up and drop it over the top

But he does run a lot more than I think people realize...

I say less. But, best success would be on plays not designed to run. Catch them dropping in to coverage and take off. Like, the 3rd and 17 he converted last week called back by a hold

The next step in the process is the ol' read-option, fake the handoff, fake the run, throw the bomb.

With Tannehill, Miami should never be stopped in 3rd or 4th and short, unless Tanny just slips or trips or something. If Tanny makes the D 'spy' him on every play, then someone should always be open or Tanny must make them pay for ignoring him. It should be almost impossible to stop a team on short-yardage when they have a legit running threat at QB.

If there's nobody open and the lane is there, or if the defense gives him a ridiculous amount of running room, he might take it, but Tannehill is being groomed to be a pocket passer, so don't expect huge running stats from him each week. I do expect him to have from 15 to 20 yards on 2-3 attempts this week.
