I know some will say not another Tannehill thread & I get that but some of these stats that I looked at I was pretty surprised when you compare it to other QBs in the league.

TD passes:
Tannehill - 21
M Ryan - 17
R Wilson - 21
A Smith - 14
Flacco - 14 (he had only missed 1 game)
Bridgewater - 9 (that shocked me)
Fitzpatrick -21 (only included him since I saw on roto say that he deserves a contract extension)

Times Sacked:
Tannehill - 34 (5th most)
Taylor - 25
Fitzpatrick - 14
Dalton - 20

Yards:
Tannehill - 11th most which includes last weeks 86 yard performance
R Wilson -13th
A Rodgers - 14th

Other Tannehill stats:
tied for 7th in INTS with Brees
22nd in comp % (better than Rodgers & Cam)

i could keep going but what I'm trying to show you is that Tannehill is a solid QB that is not as bad as people keep making him out to be. Has he struggled at times - YES is he the next Marino - NO but I'm glad he his our QB & hopefully with the right coaching he can develop further. Seriously though looking at the stats there maybe 6 or 7 QBs that I would rather have out of 32 that's pretty good.

I respect that you took the time to do that research but statistics dont tell the entire story man. Tannehill is far from as bad as people make him out to be. The expectations were so high going into this season that people are disappointed and rightfully so. He's capable of better than what we've got from him this far

more stats I'd like to know....
Fumbles
Safeties
Time spent holding on to the ball while pissing pants with DL bearing down him

safeties really? So a center ****ing up the snap count is a reflection on tannehill? Whatever

Tannehill has 137859 more threads dedicated to him than those QBs do. Now that's an impressive stat.

Tannehill plays pretty well behind a crap line he has had his entire career. What makes me laugh is the Tanne bashers that don't get the simple fact that our O-line has been horrible Tanne's entire career and they expect him to improve when the line play has not! It just makes me shake my head.

Tannehill has NO pocket presence. He can't sense a blitzer coming and when a pass rusher is running straight towards him he just stands there like he's in a trance and gets smoked. Has no fricken idea how to run out of the pocket and improvise.

It is hard to develop "pocket presence" without a consistent pocket.......which he has NEVER consistently had for any stretch in his career. He is trying to make plays with a crap line. I am shocked the kid has not been seriously injured with the joke lines he has had his entire career. I am not saying that he doesn't need to play better but you will not get consistent play from a QB with out consistent play on the O-Line....I don't care who you put back there!

So before this season you're saying you knew Tannehill would not improve this season?

Whatever the stats say (some of which come in garbage time) Tannehill has not looked good on the field when it has mattered. Maybe he can bounce back next year, but at this point he is regressing.

He had a pretty good season last year despite a crap O-Line. The O-Line was an issue last year and the way this regime addressed it was by signing a 4th round pick, hoped Albert would stay healthy, and hoped Thomas would magically not suck. I hoped our new receivers would help some, but just like signing Suh could not make up for our weakness at LB, neither could the upgrades on offense. The O-line is the biggest issue and has been the biggest issue on this team for a LONNNNNNGGGGGG time!

It's not all about playing behind a crap line. Brady finds success with people that are taken off the street one week, and starting at OL the next week. He gets the ball away in the face of trouble. Tannehill ****s his pants and gets nailed, leading to his impressive sacks against and fumbles.

LOL....I love the Brady comparison. Lets compare him to the best QB ever to play and go from there.....SMH...

Tannehill has plenty of challenges with his game. He is currently a middle of the pack QB with the physical skills to be much better, but his development has come to a screeching halt. Part of that is on him and part of that is due to the dysfunction of this team and coaching around him. He has 2016 to get his act together and show the team was right about their belief in him long term....if not, he will be gone. That is why the upcoming decision on HC and OC are so critical for this team. We need experience to get the most out of the existing members of this team....which includes RT. If they can't improve, they have to go regardless of what investment we may have in them.
