"He's been tremendous," Dolphins football czar Mike Tannenbaum said of the team's new coach, per the Finsiders. "A lot of energy, a lot of ideas, very collaborative. There's been great debate with (general manager Chris Grier), myself and him just trying to put the schedule together. And we really concentrated on the staff. Now, we're obviously quickly turning toward the roster."

The team's website noted that Dolphins officials were impressed with how Gase assembled a coaching staff flush with new and returning assistants, young coaches and a handful of experienced veterans.

"I think it's a real credit to Adam that when he met with (owner) Steve Ross, (president/CEO) Tom Garfinkel, (vice chairman) Matt Higgins, myself, he said, 'Hey, those are the coaches that I want to bring in and he delivered.' I feel really good about the staff," Tannenbaum said. "(Defensive coordinator) Vance Joseph had a number of opportunities. He chose us. (OC) Clyde Christensen, he's been coaching quarterbacks since, I think, the 1920s? He has a ton of experience. I think we have a really great blend of youth and experience on our staff."
Said Tannenbaum: "We were just excited about Adam, not only just coaching the quarterbacks but the entire team. With that said, his development with quarterbacks has been absolutely phenomenal."

Gase will be judged almost right away on how Tannehill blooms under his watch. The youngest coach in the NFL has accepted a stiff challenge, with the Dolphins looking nothing like an AFC heavy last season. With his coaching staff intact, it will be fascinating to watch how Gase shapes his first NFL roster.

I hate this praise when nothing has been done or accomplished, just seems so weak.

This reminds me of a coach being impressed with the QBs table manners and how a certain offensive lineman was so proud of himself after a PRACTICE with the Panthers.

weak, weak, weak! I guess the FO is holding nobody accountable once again.

The team is in good hands going forward.

Results will always be the final judgement in a statement like this . . . . but I'm with you, I can't be mad with the setup right now. Some people will point to Tannenbaum's track record and find fault, but honestly, Ross needs a guy like Tannenbaum, and Chris Grier is highly respected as well as Adam Gase. We could do a lot worse . . . and there really isn't much out there to indicate we could of done a lot better.

That's rash. To say nothing has been accomplished is completely sticking your head in the sand in regards to what happens from the end of the last game to the start of next season's first. I get that it's all for nothing until we see wins , but to think we get there by just sitting on our ass is wrong.

They ask, Tbaum answers.

I'm tired. For that reason alone I hope we found our long term coach. He certainly talks the talk, now if he can only walk the walk.

Complaining about something so insignificant is silly. Happens with every new hire on every team in every league.

I believe the offense will be in good hands. It will be interesting to see how things go defensively with so many positions needing upgrading. We really don't know how Adam Gase view's defense and that's a wildcard. Having worked under Nick Saban should be a positive in that regard.

I do think that the front office knew they needed a coach who could match wits offensively with what Bill Bellichick can do defensively. Hope it plays out well for Miami.

We get these threads every few years. At least we should be conditioned not to buy into the hype anymore.

Insignificant? Complaining about all the gasbags spouting hot air at each other with no connection to real world results is at the root of everything that's been wrong with this team. His post is a hell of a lot more substantial than the endless fluff this forum is descending into.

I'm sure all these bullish predictions and praise surrounding absolutely nothing of substance can't possibly go wrong. It's Feb 10, Czar Tannenbaum, might want to call off the parade.

I pray you're correct. But at this point I hold no positive expectations until success is proven on the field. I mean what's Tannenbaum supposed to say "Well, I think we blew this hire." There's always positive speech in the off season. As for me, no more will I believe any of it until I see it.

:rolleyes2: Yes, let's overreact to every fluff piece and act like it has any significance whatsoever.
