I am sitting here watching the Thursday night game and found myself saying Tanny would have completed that pass or Tanny would have ran that in for a TD. And the more I think about it, Tannehill is a better all around QB. He has a stronger arm, a more accurate throw and is more athletic. While he doesn't have the same amount of experience, and may not have the same football smarts, that will come in time.

But if I was to choose, I pick Tannehill!!

Whoa whoa whoa there man...you'd better make sure WV approves of that before u say that.

Give me a call when Tannehill throws for 4,700 yards, 32 touchdowns and only 14 picks in a season; not to forget the 22 game winning drives in his first five years.
Matt Ryan is a stud. He's having difficulty adjusting without his #1 receiver and injury prone #2. Atlanta's oline is also a shamble, not quite as bad as ours, yet he's still got 18 touchdowns to 12 picks. If Atlanta had our defense I think they'd be significantly better than 2-8.

That being said, I like what Tannehill brings to the table and I think he is our guy. But you're putting down a top 5 QB based on his performance against the same Saints team that embarrassed the guy who you're praising.

This thread has serious entertainment potential :snack:

I'm not gonna hate on Matty Ice here. Dude can ball. However I do think in the long run Tannehill has more upside.

At least we aren't comparing Thill vs Brees (who should have been a Dolphin btw):hsmash:

Sorry man, but Matt Ryan is not a top five QB. Top ten, sure, but absolutely not top five

Bad year to judge Matt Ryan. The Falcons have a worst OL than us and have little talent at WR behind Julio and Roddy. Not to mention the Falcons defense is god awful and the Falcons are often playing from behind.

Worst O-line than us? I think not.

So, we shouldn't compare them when they're in almost identical situations?

Well, we still have a ways to go before we know who Tanny is better than, but one thing is damn sure: Matty Ice >>>>>> Jake Long.

Tanny has better talent at WR this year. Our defense is much much better than Atlanta's too. OL is about the same, both are bad.
Ryan hasn't had one season like Ryan has though, so in essence there is no comparison (yet). No until Tannehill proves he can win games in the 4th quarter.

Since we added McKinnie, out pass blocking is much improved. The Falcons OL is terrible. They give up pressure almost every play.
Atlanta has the second few runs yards as well. The Atlanta OL can run block or pass block. Our can at least do one much better.

GET REAL!!!!!!!

Matty Melt is killing it behind a decent CORNFED line and single handily carrying his team on his shoulders. Any struggles he has is his attempt to lull all you poors who "put on the tape" into misjudging him so you all feel even worse after he starts pumping that ice water of his through his veins and fires off 9 straight wins while being crowned Superbowl champion and slayer of Parcells! Why Parcells? Because he was the one who drafted Sam Baker when Thomas Dimitroff left the room. Dont buy that? Then GET REAL!

And even if he does have a losing season, then its just part of Matty Meltdown's plan to force to Falcons to rehire DAN REEVES! Also the fair weather fans are causing the rest of that roster to struggle, they are too busy chatting on their Obama phones to appreciate the glory that is MATTY MOTHER****ING ICEBERG.

And if you think Tannebeast...err, Ryan Runofthemill can even compare then you need to GET REAL!!!!!!!!
