The Miami Dolphins are certainly hurting for offensive line help after allowing a league worst 58 sacks this season. That statistic is also a franchise record. The regime in Miami seems to have set QB Ryan Tannehill up for failure after failing to secure one of the most important positions along the offensive line, left tackle. In comes Taylor Lewan, 6’8” 308 lbs. OT, from Michigan. First and foremost, Lewan is a very strong run blocker and Secondly, Lewan is a good pass protector. The biggest concern with Lewan is the fact that he has Off and on field conduct red flags. In August 2013, a website published a story about rape allegations against kicker, Brandon Gibbons from 2009. Lewan became involved when, according to a police report from 2009, Lewan told a friend of the woman in the story that she had better not press charges or, "I’m going to rape her because [Gibbons] didn’t."
Its just my opinion but in the wake of the martin-incognito fiasco, I don't think Miami would be drafting this guy at all. the new man in charge, Dennis Hickey has promised to draft only high character guys.
