Taylor Open to Rejoining Phins

You know, we have a 1-15 season, and he cannot wait to get out the door.

We turn around, have a 11-5 season, and now he wants back? It's a tad insulting. What's worse is that I think he's trying to use us to get himself involved in a bidding war for a bigger contract from New England.

Jason Taylor? No Thanks. We already got better without you.

I hope he takes his lazy non working hard *** to NE. Come december Jake Long will Maul him to death.

Here we go again :rolleyes2:

He may want to come back, but I would be deeply shocked if Parcells had any intention of bringing him back.

I don't really want him back, to be honest.

Yeah we got better without him, but we would definitely be better in 2009 with him on the roster. You guys act like he had an affair with your wife/husband or girlfriend/boyfirend. relax.

I agree. People make it like Jason Taylor is a terrorist or something. Anyways, Taylor would be upgrade, but he's going too want too much money. He's also pretty old. If you run straight at him, he's terrible. Watch a lot of Skin games and Fin games and you will know what I'm talking about.

Re-signing Taylor would damage the development of Wake and a draft pick if we go OLB. He would take away playing time from players who need it to develop.

I think he is only a year older than Porter. Who do we have to plug in if Porter goes down with an injury? I also don't think that it would hurt to have Porter & Taylor rotating at that spot. It would keep them both fresh later in the games/season and really grind the opposing LT down.

At this point he doesnt seem as interested in the money as being close to his kids. I think that he learned that the grass is not always greener on the other side of the fence. I do not think that we would have to out bid anyone. I think that all we would have to do is offer him a reasonable contract and he would sign.

Wake has never played a down in the NFL...Taylor would provide guidance to essentially a "rookie" to the NFL. Granted Wake played well in the CFL..but this is the NFL we are talking about now...Any help would be good for him from a veteran like JT.

Thats why Taylor would be a bad move. At the moment we have Roth and Porter as OLB's. I still think that they will be our starting OLB's come the start of the season. Roth will start but Wake will come in on passing downs as a situational rusher.

Now why would we take away playing time from Wake and give it to a player who will be 35 come the start of the season? We would be better off drafting another OLB high in the draft to supplement Porter. That way we already have Porters replacement instead of trying to find players to fill the wholes that would be left by Porter and Taylor if we signed him.

I don't think so. If anything, it would probably help Wake having Taylor to learn from. Moses was developing with Taylor's help and trailed off when he left (granted, he did switch positions, which could account for some that). All in all, it would be great for Wake to have both Porter and Taylor to learn from.

I will be laughing by arse off when he resigns with us and all the haters all of the sudden will be JT lovers again.

All ill fgeelings toward JT aside....I think I would want to sign him back just so the patriots don't sign him, that alone would make me welcome him back.

I would rather see JT go to the Bucs or Jags if he doesn't sign with the Fins, I hope NE never gets a shot at the guy. Stay in Florida, I'm sure one of the 3 teams is willing to pay him and he said it wasn't about the money. Fine, sign a deal that won't hurt Miami signing other FA and DP and return to the Dolphins to finish out your career, it is that simple.
