Taylor saying all the wrong thingsMonday 5/19, 10:13 AM CTIn an interview for its Sunday Conversation, ESPN asked Jason Taylor if, 10 years from now, he would rather be known for his football exploits or his "Dancing with the Stars" acting career. Taylor suggested he?d rather make it in Hollywood than Canton, Ohio.

Our View: This should sit well with new Director of Operations -- Bill Parcells.
p.s. i hope this was taken out of context?????????

No offense TPGP! I wish he would just shut up.

That is not at all what he said. Whoever wrote this added so many words to make it into what they want it to be.

He was asked. In 10 years would you rather be known for your football career or your acting career.

He said in 10 years he would like to be known for his acting career.

What the hell is so wrong with someone wanting to set up the rest of their lives. He will be done with football in a few short years and he is looking ahead to what is in front of him.

If he is known for his football career in 10 years, that means that he was not successful in his acting career that is all he meant when answering that question.

He never once said he would rather be an actor than in Canton, that is absolutely rediculous.

If he goes all the way pansy *** hollywood, IMO, the denigration should never end; on the other hand , if he comes back strong, he should be lauded and extolled.

I don't see how this helps his oft troubled marriage either.

He is beginning to look like an immature fool. Hopefully this is over for good, soon.

I hope he comes back to his share of pancakes.

Not bashing JT here but dude your huge in size, you would look horrible in any movie not related to sports or godzilla.

What is he doing now though? Football. It's nice to know that he could care less about the rest of his career as a Football player and can't wait to get into acting. That's why it's a problem.

How about answering both? That would have been the better answer. That means he is putting acting ahead of his last few years in the league.

That may not be what he means at all. The problem is that that is what he said means

Besides, the man can't even make people believe he still cares about football and the Dolphins. How is he gonna make an even greater audience believe he is whatever character he is portraying in whatever new comedy he will probably be doing?

Call me crazy but I am really starting to feel that JT won't play for the Fins this year. His comments suggest the organization doesn't want him around anymore

Is this a miami dolphins webpage, I can't believe some of you guys on here, little have you guys forgotten, Jason Taylor is the franchise, and you guys have forgotten that he's given 13 years of his life to this organization, you guys are a bunch of turncoats. You praise a guy like Ted Ginn Jr. who has done nothing for this franchise, but bash a guy who's been a allpro. Have you guys been eating tuna or something, I can't believe you guys turn your back on a guy that gave his all to this team. You'll here it here, Ted Ginn Jr. will be no more than a return guy, he sucks, the only thing we got out of last years draft was a center. The problem is not Taylor, its the organization, the guy has given to much to this organization for the fans on this site to turn their backs on him. If the dolphins didn't want to deal with him, they should have traded him to Jacksonville when they had the chance. Parcells is acting like a lil ***** anyway, here's a guy who wouldn't call T.O. by his name and all T.O. did was catch touchdowns, hasn't been in any trouble in Dallas, but Parcells loves this guy name Meshawn Johnson(author of throw me the damn ball), Parcells may turn this organization around, but he's a big fat hippocrit. Last time I looked, he wasn't the head coach. Bash me all you want for writing this, but there's no way you guys should bash Jason Taylor, he's looking at his life after football, like he said when a team is done with you, they'll drop you like a bad habit, he's looking out for himself, because the dolphins are not gonna look out for him. The guy has given to much to this organization to be treated like this, Parcells is the person that needs to get bashed.

Think about it from his view. The team that he gave his entire career for has spiraled all the way to the bottom through years of heart break between Wanstedt, Saban, and Cam bringing us to a new low last year and now they cut your brother in law who is still probably the best player on the team that would probably affect your motivation to be there. Cutting Zach Thomas sent a message to all of the veterans that despite them giving their all they are looking towards the future more than ever. J.T. is getting up there and he's probably in a win now situation more than ever mentality.

Like that pansy a** Jim Brown who went all Hollywood after his football career?

How did Jim Brown ever make the HOF?

I am being sarcastic, JT has not missed any time or done anything wrong and I'm ashamed of the Dolphin fans on finheaven who can't stop bashing him.

Just remember all the hate you spewed on here and don't jump on his T I P when he returns to form in 2008.

Lets face it, at best JT will get some B-Movie roles, he is not a trained, schooled actor with lots of acting experience.

I seriously doubt he'll even get some the crappy type roles the Rock has had.

The track record of this kind of change of career is very poor at best, even Jim Brown is still known for football not acting, and he actually got into a good movie in his short acting career.

If JT had any sense, he'd shut up and try to finish off his career in a hall of fame type fashion, and worry about hollywood when its over, if he isn't careful he'll be just another football player that not only didn't make the hall, but also flopped and was forgotten by hollywood.
