someone please explain what does $118M mean for the Browns? Better asked, if they take on a heavy salary from us, does it hit our cap or theirs? I don't think they could spend all that money, but we sure have a lot of players we can send them to.

I don't think it means much. That Osweiler situation was an aberration from the normal way business is conducted.

We aren't going to be in the market to give away valued picks to save salary. If they wanted to buy Timmons's contract for a 7th round pick......maybe.

For being on the cusp of 0-16, the Browns are positioned nicely going forward. They have the feel of the 76ers about 2 years ago.

They obviously need to find a QB but they are loaded with assets. Same old question applies though, will they make the right decisions.

I would love to have the Browns' GM job. Well, actually, I would love any GM job, but you know what I mean.

but if we trade a player, does the cap hit us?

That would depend on what the trading team agrees too. If you trade a fully guaranteed salary, the implication is that the new team would take on that money.

Teams don't usually take on guaranteed money in trades because it usually means that player isn't worth paying anymore.

I don't see Miami getting anything of value in any trade involving a player on their own roster.

I read something about a month ago, that Philadelphia and Kansas City we’re both going to have to make tough roster decisions and potentially cut some quality players to get under the cap. I live just east of Philly and many Philly fans are worried about who may be cut. If Miami is smart they may be able to pick up some quality players, in F/A if, they rid themselves of the over kill contracts of Pouncey, James and Thomas.

Teams are allowed to roll some unused cap space into the future. I expect that is the reason for the large amount of cap space for the Browns next year.

Browns always have a Top 3 pick and loads of cash yet they are the worst team in league history. You think it’s rough liking Miami, imagine liking that horrific franchise.

There the Browns, they have been picking in the top 5 for over a decade. I heard in ower game that the HC will not be fired. I’ve never changed my favorite team’s but if I was a Browns fan I would of 5 years ago. We all hated the 1-15 year, imagine if we went 1-31 over 2 years. There might Really be a bay harbor butcher in Miami if that happened.

Philly doesn't need to cut players, except for Foles but after the big contracts to Jeffrey and Jernigan, their done. They may trade Vinny Curry with the advent of Barnett.

CB Patrick Robinson, who ranked near the top of the league this year will walk.

Nigel Bradham, highly ranked OLB will walk, TE Trey Burton will walk, excellent backup DT Beau Allen will walk, and Jason Peters may retire or be released with a medical buyout.

These are some good players, but they don't really fit the Dolphins needs because Burton is going to be enormously over paid this off season. When you are paying the 78th ranked LB, Kiko the Lame, 10 mil a year your kinda limited when looking at Bradham.

As far trading players to Cleveland.... Ryan Tannehill would probably greatly interest them. With the luck they have had drafting, I see them acquiring a veteran, even a mediocre one like RT might satisfy them.

Ju'Wuan James is looking eminently expendable and seeing as how he was ranked the 2nd best RT in the league this last year and is still really young, both Tannehill and James should be worth high 2nd rounders; and the Browns just happen to have two high 2nd rounders.

Philly is $5M over the cap for 2018. Just a quick list of cap savings for them:
Lane Johnson $6.2M
Peters $5,3M
Malcolm Jenkins $5.5M
Mychael Kendricks $4.4M
Brandon Graham $6M

KC has about $4.3 M over the cap
Houston $8M
Alex Smith $17M
Fisher $$5M
Derrick Johnson $8M
Hali $8M
Dee Ford $$8M
Ron Parker $5M

Just for conversation, we could save $46M by cutting Tannehill,
James, pouncey, Wake and Thomas.

I'm ok with cutting the last 4 guys on that list but not Tannehill

Ozzy rules!!

I'm ok with the same too. RT would be up for grabs if we were somehow lucky enough to grab Baker Mayfield in the draft.
