I don't care what anybody says, these guys are closer to making a big playoff run than anyone thinks or could imagine. Right now with SERIOUS position woes they are staying in every game, and playing very very hard. Get a QB, and some DB help and the team is 100% better and they win most if not all of these close games. earlier in the season I would have said O-line too, and while we still could use O-line help these guys we have now are playing awefully well at the moment. Now I'm sure some of you will be screaming WR, WR, WR, well I'm probably going to be the minority that says/thinks we are OK here. Chambers has had a couple of bad games, but he is in no way shape or form a bad player........Anyone else remember a couple of years ago when Chambers seemed to NEVER drop a pass???? He's still the same player but he's having a bad year so far, get a QB that can CONSISTENTLY get him the ball and he's probably playing at a probowl level. Just think about it people, how many games have we lost this year because of really bad QB, and/or DB play??? Well the answer is ALL Of THEM!!! It may not be so easy to fix both of these areas in one offseason though, but it sure CAN be done.

In the realm of PLAYOFF type playing, these games have not been that close. We have been in bad positions consistently. The scores looked pretty close. Please to reply with "the score decides the game" OK? I know that. We should have won the Partriots but should have lost to the Panthers. We are right where we should be and that is not real close to playoff ready. We were done when we lost to the Jets. You can't drop all your division games in the first half of the season. It is not a platform for success.

Until we get a real Qb. Or some help in defensive backfield we are a long ways from even being considered a playoff team.

That can be done easily through the draft. Next year, we'll have Poole back, plus Madison and Daniels with a year experience.

Dude wake up and smell the rose's this team sucks....they could'nt beat a beat up NE team playing with backups at almost every position across the field.

This team sucks

A lot of games could've gone either way this season. Late in the game a few things happened
Jets: This one is really on the secondary, letting Pennington weakly lob it around all game long.
Carolina: We were outplayed in this one. Steve Smith lit up our secondary, but Schulters came up with a huge play.
Buffalo: Ronnie's fumble obviously, but poor OL play all game long. The secondary couldn't handle the seconding coming of Kelly Holcomb of all people.
Atlanta: This one is on Ferrotte late in the game, where did he think he was throwing?? The secondary couldn't handle Vick, who really isn't that great a passer.
New England: If Reggie Howard wants to make a play, he might as well as lay out for it. Brady picked us apart late. Can't really pin this on Ferrotte, because he gave Chambers several good chances to be the hero.

So the glaring thing that is really letting us down late in the game is the secondary.

There's two things we can do, the most obvious is to patch it up through the draft and free agency. I see Howard getting cut, Poole coming back, Daniels moving to safety. I think we keep Schulters and explore trade options for Madison. Hopefully we can make a decent offer to Clement if he isn't franchised. But we can't fix it all at once, this is a two year problem minimum.

Second, we can build an offense who can move the ball very quickly to make up for our defensive shortcomings. This means throwing the ball, and having receivers who can catch it. Hopefully we get our stud QB this offseason, sign a cheap veteran FA WR, and maybe take a gamble on a guy like Charles Rogers (like Boston) to see if he can turn it around. This can be addressed in one offseason. Hopefully we do both.

We beat the Pats, unfortunately we beat ourselves worse.

yeah but that is all about next year. We are talking about this year so far.

And Madison is getting older every year. he is going to be replaced eventually.

Yes! We are closer to getting a pretty high 1st Round draft choice.

I beg to differ, we have been real close in most of them. In Fact in at least 3 of the lossses that we've had we had a chance to tie or win the game on our last drive and got into the red zone but either turned the ball over or couldn't get in on 4 downs. which brings me back to my point....... if we....... A: had a better QB we probably get into the endzone, and....... B: if we had better DB's we probably are in much better position at the end of these games to win anyway and wouldn't have needed to score. We have no way possible of correcting this this season, but Next year it is VERY Possible

I do agree with you. This team plays with alot of heart they play hard the bottom line is that the team is not talented enough to win. Next year we get a good qb and get some good defensive players this team will be Contenders. Yes there has been bad play calling but it will get better. I guess i can sleep at night better than some fin fans but some of the fans expect a not so talented team (as far as players) to make the playoffs and they think Saban should be a god. I knew it would take time, next year I will be alittle less patient. John Fox was the worst coach in the world his first year in Carolina the fans thought and BB was a failure to the NE fans his first year. Now they are the top 2 Coachs is football IMO. This team will be a force we will be fine.

I agree with you wholeheartedly.
I like the direction the team is going in on many fronts.
I like the personnel they brought in during FA and in the draft.
I like the aggressive offensive play calling.
I like the aggressiveness on Defense.

The level of play will catch up to the schemes as talent is brought in, ESPECIALLY at the QB position.
You guys have to remember where we are here.
We just got out of a reign of team management that was horrific at best. It's going to take time to rebuild depth and young talent on this roster.

Sure were 3-6 but I'm still very confident and happy with the people in charge of this franchise and I'm very excited with it's future potential now.

Patience please.

Doesn't matter to me what the record is, I'm happy as that clam we have the coaches who are going to make us better.
