wow our sports have been sucking it up lately for representing our country...basketball, and now the WBC sheesh

well our soccer team is now ranked 5th in the FIFA rankings...best they've ever been, im more then happy with that:D
 
yeah thats nice to see since soccer is the sport that i play...but seriously what the hell is up with everyone else gettin their ***** kicked

I don't agree with those rankins, they doesn't make sense at all, México and USA always have great rankins because they play more games than European teams, so if you play a lot vs bad teams you get more pòints that if you play less vs good teams.
 
US is at 5??? All right...:)

I can't wait for the WC, hopefully the US will play well there and not dissapoint like the WBC and Olympic B-Ball team..but they are in a difficult group.

Can't send professionals in basketball. And in WBC can't get a true judge of who's best when you have guys on pitch counts!

It was even across the board for all teams... We stunk it up, admit it... Just like we stunk it up at the Olympics a few years ago in baseball.... And basketball...

There's little passion from U.S. athletes unless they're in a contract year... It's something that can and needs to change.
 
The next basketball team in 08 is going to hand every other team their *** on a platter...

it could... if we less grizzled veterans out there who don't really give a ****, and more young talented up and comers...
 
Maybe if they start banning rich lazy pros who could care less about International competition than we would win.
 
Well as for World Cup I would much rather the USA win that than anything else. Thats probably the most respected tournament in the World! However I was not shocked we did not win the WBC just who we lost too. Wow Canada :shakeno: . I know we lost more games in the WBC, but Canada. Basketball is a sport that is based on alot of team and not so much on one player and the rules are different. I think there are more role players in the coming years so that will be great! Good Luck US of A!
