Ndamukong Suh - DL - Dolphins

The Miami Herald reports Ndamukong Suh's teammates are "privately steamed" about the high-priced defensive tackle skipping voluntary workouts.

Suh annually skips voluntary workouts to train at the Nike complex in Oregon, but it's not sitting well following his controversial 2015 Dolphins debut. Per reporter Adam Beasley, the "vanishing act" is "not playing well with his already-skeptical teammates." Making historic money, Suh will be on the spot in 2016 as the Dolphins once again try to pick up the pieces.

Lot's of negative news on Rotoworld about phins on first day of camp... Not out of the ordinary from them though I suppose.

This is some new definition of "privately" that I was previously unaware of.

play like suh and maybe you can skip some too...otherwise shut it

I wonder if Beasley actually had players complaining to him or if a coach/front office person who wants Suh to show up fed Beasley that line.

Elite players get treated differently. If it steams these guys it's because they were elite at their high schools and colleges and got away with murder but in the NFL they're not elite and that's what's actually chapping their asses.

That being said the whole "Manhattan" thing from last year was a disgrace and needs to be thrown in the ****ing trash.

I thought Miko and Brent were gone?

There are 31 other teams and all have players who do not attend the voluntary practices. Why is it that national attention is always placed on the Dolphins who do not attend? The point is made that certain (hack) beat reporters, e.g. the mean spirited spitting viper, Adam Beasley, get their kicks out of trying to whip up controversies at the Dolphins. It is the same every year. Next batter up will be the cretin in need of a haircut, Omar Kelly.

i'm pretty sure these "team-mates" will privately stop giving a **** once the regular season starts

Beasley doing his best to get clicks today. I am sure we will see the reports of Suh and Jones brushed off in a couple days. The team knew how Suh operates with workouts when they signed him so I don't see the big deal. Last thing these players need to be doing is complaining about someone else. Focus on yourself because there is a lot of room for improvement around that whole locker room.

Totally disagree. All for one, and one for all. Can't be a team leader if your not with the team. No wonder our team chemistry sucks. We have too many selfish MOFO's.

As a fan I never give one damn about a player skipping a voluntary workout if they are a scrub or a star.
They call it mandatory for a reason. If I had a decent contract and was of a certain talent level I would skip them also if I had a reason or if I just wanted to.
Nobody is going to play better because Suh shows up for voluntary workouts.

I'm torn on this one...

Me too. Part of me says it's only April and it's just voluntary so it's no big deal, but another part of me says to heck with that...voluntary or not, you are a leader on this team so get your hind end there and lead by example every chance you can...
