I have always said this would increase NFL revenue by a minimum of 20%. The rivalries that would form from cross state competition would be college like and even in bad years beating the cross state enemy would fill the stands. I have always wondered why the NFL is so closed minded about this. I know they think some of the old rivalries would be broken but the what the fans would get in return would far out weigh what they lose.Even though there are historic rivalries, I think the NFL should re-align the divisions based on geography. Something like:
AFC Central
IND, CIN, CLE, PIT
AFC North
BUF, NYJ, NYG, NE
AFC South/East
ATL, TB, JAC, MIA
AFC West
LV, AR, DEN, KC
NFC North
MIN, GB, CHI, DET
NFC East
PHI, BAL, WAS, CAR
NFC West
SEA, SF, LAC, LAR
NFC South
DAL, HOU, NO, TEN
Yeah I mean probably close to the top every year since our division rivals are no where near us lol

I’ve been saying it since we went to 4 divisions. Miami should be in the South with Indy in the North and Baltimore in the East. But nostalgia. I guess. To be fair, part of that comes from being a coastal team. And teams coming to play in Miami also team to have long road trips.
