i had a buff fan tell me lee evans is faster than ted ginn. i natuarally slandered lee evans and his mama and the jills and all of buff. but is lee evans faster than ted ginn?

Not on this planet hes not....

He's fast and a good receiver but I don't think too many people in the NFL... the world even, are faster than Ginn.
Didn't he have a world-record time as a sprinter in college?

Evans is one of the fastest recievers in the league, but Ginn's still got him. People must not get it when they say Ginn has world class speed.

Yeah, Ginn's faster but Evans is the next Marvin Harrison.

I'd rather have Harrison than Desmond Howard.

Ginn is faster, but Evans has the experience, which Ginn will get in time. Green is a good QB to help him along.

Im a Wisconsin football fan and am a huge Lee Evans fan....I was so pissed when the bills drafted him....Lee Evans ran a 4.33 at the combine...I think Ginn in the open field is faster but football speed its pretty close...

Fast isn't the only thing that makes a WR.

Evans has been something special since his rookie season. If Ginn can put up numbers similar to these in his first three seasons, then you can start comparing them:

2004 16 games... 48 rec... 843 yds... 17.6 avg... 69 long... 9 TDs
2005 16 games... 48 rec... 743 yds... 15.5 avg... 65 long... 7 TDs
2006 16 games... 82 rec... 1292 yds... 15.8 avg... 83 long... 8 TDs

Total:............. 178 rec... 2878 yds... 16.2 avg............... 24 TDs

Are you really comparing Lee Evans to the 8 time Pro Bowler Marvin Harrison? Wow, the homers are out in full force tonight in Buffalo. Lee Evans is very good receiver and is fast(not Ginn fast though), but he is still not an elite player yet. Not even a Pro Bowl player yet. Evans is not even in the same league as Harrison.

Ginn may never put up the same receiving production as Evans will, but he will likely have more total yards and likely more touchdowns then Evans will this season.

Actually Evans ran a 4.39 at the Combine, still a very fast time to be sure.

Evans is a fantastic receiver, the best in the AFC East. I don't think it particularly matters, for now, that Ted Ginn is faster than Lee Evans.

Lets put it this way...if Ted Ginn and Lee Evans ran a 50 yard dash, Lee Evans would beat him by about a step. That is of course assuming Lee Evans has as big of a head start as ocho cinco had against that horse. Ted Ginn is the fastest man alive!

I think he is good, but I wouldn't just give him that title. Players like Randy Moss and Chris Chambers have to be considered also for that title. They have six combined Pro Bowls to Evans' zero. Evans is definitely one of the best in the division, I just don't think he is the best.
