ted ginn jr has according to si.com has fallen out of the first round and probably midway to the second ...... if this is true then he will likely be there at 40. i think its a no brainer that we take him. what do you think ?

Link: http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/football/nfl/ .. its on the front page when you click on NFL .... in the caption under his picture

I find that hard to believe. With so many teams at the bottom of round 1, I can not see all of them passing on him, especially with the dynamic that he would add to an offense. I don't think he slips out of the 1st round but I like the idea of the fins being able to trade down and still being able to pick him up.

I find that very hard to believe to, no way does this kid slip out of the 1st round unless there is something that we don't know but only the scouts do.

i would love to get him in the second after we get quinn in the first. although i would rather take jarrett but he will go in the first.

Jarrett's going to play split end, dude. And we have two of those. Unless he rips a 4.40 and I don't see that happening.

Jarrett, IMO, has more of a chance to be there at 40 then Ginn. I see Sydney Rice, Robert Meachem, Dwayne Jarrett, Craig Davis, Steve Smith as possible WR targets at the spot. Meachem and Jarrett have the best chance of going round 1 but still seem to have a chance of sliding more than anyone.

Meachem will be long long gone before the 40th pick.

Listen, get the thought of MIAMI drafting Jarrett out of your head. Dolphins need a speed WR. Boomer's right, Jarrett is a split end. Ginn at 40 although rumored and slightly possible, as nice as it sounds, isn't going to happen. Trade down or up to lower 1st is a thought.

They would pass on him because they are worried about his injury and why it has lasted as long as it has. I can find this to be totally true and believeable.

There are plenty of WR's in this draft is one reason.

There are plenty of teams who already have an abundance of WR's.

There are teams who really do not want to invest there number one pick on a special teamer, which is what he would be for the first year or two.

There are plenty of teams who have many other needs aside from a WR, like the Dolphins perhaps?

they're crazy i think......... we would throw a parade if we got ginn 20 spots ahead of what the pats paid for Welker. He'll be gone by the end of round 1. Besides if he did..... whoever drafted Calvin Johnson ahead of us would have to seriously reconsider passing up on having CJ and Ginn !!

Thats what I had happening in my mock draft, with Meachem falling to San Diego. I think teams will take advantage of the fact that the WR is so deep and banking on one being available outside of the first. Only the teams that need a WR desperately (Tennessee, SD, KC) will HAVE to take a wideout in the first. Each of these teams with take a WR with distinguishable features (Ginn-Speed, Bowe-Physicality, Jarrett-Hands) while Meachem is a solid WR that is overall good, but nothing special in one particular area. I think that will be the reason he could slide a little bit, or is at least a candidate to.

On a side note, I think alot of people are overlooking the Norm Chow connection with Dwayne Jarrett. He knows what he is getting and also how to utilize it the right way.

It's a high ankle sprain. He also played all of 2006 with a broken bone in his foot, which was re-damaged. It's no big deal, just make sure it's 100%. You don't need Ginn to run to know how fast he is.
