Are you people crazy? If he didn't have the ankle injury he would have been a top 10. We didnt reach he will fine. He is going to kick some *** this year

So...SUPPORT YOUR PHINS.

Kiper said it himself, "Ginn is one of the top 10-12 players in this draft"

After reading this...maybe we aren't so crazy after all;

There were surprises, Ted Ginn Jr., going to Miami instead of Quinn being the biggest. We have to go back in history to give the Dolphins immunity from being immediately posted in the loser column. As the story goes, Ginn was the receiver the Dolphins were considering since last fall. They loved his speed. Unfortunately, a celebration after a touchdown in the BCS Championship Game led to a foot injury and killed his offseason. Ginn still can run a 4.3 40, but he doesn't have full stability in the foot. His foot will be put in a boot for six weeks and then a six-week rehab begins. The Dolphins are willing to wait.

What team selects a Returner/Receiver...with the 9th pick...and he won't be able to practice or play till the end of July. He's been injured now for at least 4 months...and he still has at least three more months to be healthy?
The problem with knowing players for a long time...seems to make some headcoaches and GM's blind in one eye and can't see out of the other.

Exactly. I just dont understand why everyone is hating this pick. We finally have a explosive Returner plus someone who can spread the offense.

Now if you factor in CC this may boost him somewhat to work harder and compete with his fellow family member Ginn. Finally Chambers could turn into that 1 WR.

My heart and soul is behind Ginn and I hope he blows people away once on the field. I'm just flustered and annoyed that we did not pick a franchise QB that fell into our laps at 9.

Ginn will be fun to watch. We got a wide receiver and qb in the first two rounds. Just what the fins need. all offense baby!

Please quote your sources, that nice lengthy, well written paragraph you posted was written by John Clayton of ESPN. I also agree that knowing a player a long time isn't necessarily a good thing. Nick Saban knew Jason Allen very well and many think we reached for him in the 1st round last year. BUT, i still think things are looking up, w/ Jason finally switching to his position of preference. It does sound iffy that we're waiting on Ginn who could be out of commission for 12 weeks. But if he could run a sub 4.40 with a bum foot, imagine what he could do full power.

If Cam knows anything about offense (and i think he does), ginn could be turned into the next santana moss or steve smith. Give the pick a chance. I'm betting Ginn has a huge chip on his shoulder to prove all the doubters in miami and the league wrong.

He has average hands and poor route running. He will have trouble getting off the line of scrimmage. He is not physical enough to go over the middle (wait until he meets Rodney Harrison) and track speed is useless in the red zone.
So we spent a top 10 pick ( and the salary that goes with it) on a special teams player.
And we chose him over a potential franchise QB.

I going into a post tirade today. From what you have seen from quinn makes you believe he is a franchise QB. Cause I never saw anything.

Kiper wasn't impressed with the pick

It's easy, because July isn't the beginning of the NFL season...

Only time will tell if we made the right decision passing on Quinn. If Beck does well...great decision. This is why I love football. Go Fins!

He is a "potential" franchise QB, but let's remove BQ from the argument. Are you seriously going to argue that Ginn was the 9th best player in this draft. I would have rather seen Willis or Okoye.
Face it, Cam and Mueller wanted offense so they reached for him.

Seems to me it is training camp time and the start of the preseason games...and if you can't play...at least till then...you can't learn. Remember Allen?
