Yes, the bar is set that high for Ted Ginn Jr. He better be the next Marvin Harrison. Not the next Moss, Chad Johnson, etc, I'm talking about the best receiver in the league here, Marvin Harrison.

He has the speed, now he needs the mechanics. I think he can do it, but for a very unpolished receiver who was not very productive as a receiver in his senior year, he was still a huge reach at #9.

or Lynn Swann
or Mark Clayton
or Jerry Rice
or Randall Thrill Hill
or Alex Melvin (he was awesome on my flag football team when I was 12)

What do you mean he wasn't a productive receiver as a senior ?? If you pro rate his catches to a 16 game NFL season, that would equate to 85+ catches.. That's pretty productive to me.. And on top of that, one scout who watched tapes of all his games said, Ginn was double covered or triple covered 84% of the time after he broke down every play.. He only had single coverage 16% of the time, and I am sure most of those plays were when running the ball was the obvious play , such as a 3rd and 1 .. .. ............................................. To have that much coverage on you and still get over 85 catches is a phenominal feat in and of itself... And when you consider he played his best games against top schools, that's even more impressive .. He destroyed 1st round corners in this years draft - including Aaron ross and Leon Hall .. He also destroyed corners who many say will be potential 1st rounders in next years draft .

I think you are setting the bar a little high aren't you? It would be nice if he turns out to be that good but every wr picked in the top 10 of the draft can't be expected to be that good. Lets just hope he becomes a probowler, that will be good enough for me.

Heck you all should start little first.

Hope that your 9 overall can make it to camp

Then hope he can learn to run routes with out falling down.

Then maybe you can start hoping for that probowl player

Hope that your running back isn't arrested before the season starts.

Hope that your linebacker doesn't re-injure his knee.

Hope that JP Losman remembers to not chew gum and play ball at the same time.

Ummm he does not need to be that good. He just needs to be very productive and I will be happy. He was not a huge reach when the next team was gunna pick him!

don't forget to tell him to:

Hope your sister keeps her mouth shut about your late night 'visits'

Do not know much about Lynch then do you.

Heck hope your PR does not re-injure his foot. Trying to get healthy

Seeing you mentioned JP

Hope Beck turns out to be something good, or Lemon, Or maybe CP gets on the field. Heck just hope youa ll have an AVG QB. Or keep trying to look At Andrew Walters he may help

This coming from a fan of a 4 in a row Super Bowl loser? Please use "at least we made it" please do.

JP Losman is garbage and even one legged CP is better than that hack.

Marshawn Lynch: Buffalo drafted Marshawn Lynch at No. 12 after his agents assured teams that he would not be charged with sexual assault. Lynch choked, slapped and sexually assaulted her in Oakland the night of December 13th. She filed the civil complaint on December 19th, according to court documents obtained by KCBS.

You drafted a rapist. Good going with that pick..really popular with teammates with young daughters.

Everyone relax, with respect to the original threadstarter. This isnt about the Bills.

I hope Ginn becomes productive meaning able to be a reliable leading reciever. Harrison is one of the best WRs and I would only hope Ginn models himself after Harrison's route running skills. He has the speed and agility, he just needs to get healthy and go prove he deserved to be a #9 pick.

You can dream but that aint happening ....

What separates Harrison from the rest is not his speed, it's his ability to find holes in coverage. I'm not as sure Ginn can do that right now. And college corners <<<<< pro corners.

what do you mean better have!!!! you sound like one of the guys who wanted Quinn, i don't wwhy people think Quinn is the savor, under the last couple of coaches we have never picked anyone with this type of speed and is a threat to take the ball into the endzone, if Quinn was so sweet why did the browns pass on him,
