Ted Ginn Jr. to visit

This will be the FOURTH meeting between Cam and Randy and Ted Ginn. That's pretty unprecedented in my recollections.

U really gotta think if all things go well, Ted Ginn will be a Miami Dolphin barring him being drafted before 9 or barring Brady Quinn (possibly Russell) slipping to 9 (or if a trade can't be worked out). Cam IMO isn't going defense w/ this pick . . . and Ginn is the biggest difference maker in this draft on offense (versatility and speed) and special teams . . . he would do wonders for this team. I see the mocks w/ us going Safety, or DE in round 1 . . . nahhh man . . . not this year.

the guy can change games, we havent had a player like that in a very long time.

This is the best player we can get in the 1st round that will have an immediate impact on our team, he has the potential to break one open every time he touches the ball.

It seems pretty likely that we can trade down and still grab Ginn so will that be what we're looking to do?

The running strip at camp is a very fast surface. I remember James McPhail and Kirby Dar Dar ripping it up with a 4.19. It will be interesting to see What Ginn Jr. will do on it. If he even runs that is.

For poops and giggles- how about a prediction on Ginn's 40-time at his workout. I'll say 4.31

p.s. You mentioned John Beck on some thread- I saw what little I could on youtube (hey, it's the best I got) and I was impressed. GREAT feet and he looked like a right handed Steve Young to me. He also seems like he has that "it" factor. I'll be watching him if possible. Great call.

I'll say if fit, 4.26

If not, 4.33

Glad you like Beck. I have him as a stronger armed Gannon, but regardless, he's a super player.

It was just youtube, and highlights can make almost anyone look good (see: Chris Chambers), but this guys feet were just outstanding. It was the follow through that made me think immediately of Steve Young (not the school). I also read on another thread about his velocity- impressive. I hope that the guy is accurate- if all the pieces are there maybe the Welker pick #60 wouldn't be a reach for him.

One problem with Beck....he's already alot older than most coming out....in fact he'll be 26 when the season starts...thats old for a rookie...that may sit for a couple seasons.
