Listen to Sparano's post-game press conference from 8:45 to 9:20. He specifically says "we wanted to keep teddy fresh and decided to rotate hartline in" So unless you believe random blogs and bogus reports over Coach Sparano's own words, Ted Ginn is not in the doghouse and was never benched.

I'm not buying that. Ginn was benched!!!! would you call out your WR and create more drama for an already struggling team? Sporano has class and is covering for Ginn. He went about it the right way. Ginn was benched.

Ok, so if he starts this monday night do you still think he got benched? Why would they bench someone they are going to start the next week? I really don't think Sparano was lying when he talked about it in the postgame press conference. He is still the best receiver on our team and if we can put a legitimate weapon on the other side, instead of Camarillo and Hartline, Ginn's numbers would be much improved.

Coach isn't going to say in a Press Conf that he was benched because of his play. Coaches say that they wanted to keep him fresh, he's a great player we just wanted to get this other guy some reps... Why didn't they need to "keep him fresh" in any of the other games?

Looks like I'm not the only one who understands. :hi5:

Doesnt matter who you put on the other side, if you cant catch the ball you are worthless!

Ginn was benched. I ain't buying what Sparano said in the presser.

"Keep him fresh"??

A 185lb WR in his mid twenties does not need to be kept fresh, especially when he hasn't caught the rock all game.

Maybe bench isn't the word but his usage was substantially minimalized due to his recent drops and ineffectiveness. I have a feeling Coach will give him some more throws this week to see what he will do. But I do believe that Ginn's leesh(sp?) has gotten shorter.

Love the run game though. :hi5:

Because in the other games we weren't destroying the other team like vs the bills. I think we were up 28-3 at one point? Or maybe 21-3. Either way, it's either trusting Coach Sparano's own words or trusting random blogs and tweets on the internet about it.

If he starts Monday night, will he still be in the doghouse? I don't think a Parcells ran team would be starting someone who they are that disappointed in.

He may not have technically been benched but its pretty clear his role has changed. I recall seeing a shot of Ginn on the sideline when the offense was on the field and he didn't look happy and it got pretty uncomfortable when he noticed the camera was on him.

My question is do you guys think Sparano should grow a sack and come out and say he's playing like garbage and we need guys in there who are giving their A-game or is stroking their ego the way to go? IDK, maybe he's giving them hell when the cameras are off, what do you think?

Do you ever see Randy Moss being rotated ? Or Reggie Wayne ? Or any good #1 receiver going to the bench for other receivers to fill in ?

No you do not.

Sparano just said that as an excuse to get other people in there.

Well that depends on how he plays on Monday. If he starts and plays well then I would imagine he would be out of the hypothetical dog house for a while, or if he plays poorly then I would imagine his workload would decrease. I guess my main point is that Sparano never calls out his players through the media. I have read and listened to quite a few press conferences and cannot recall Coach making any public negative comments about any of his players. That's the vanilla-ness of press conferences. He talks about what they do well how many plays they get and that's about it.

Ginn was sidelined not benched simply because he sucks at run blocking and that's all MIA did against BUF was run.
