Like a lot of you, I'm not sure why Ginn isnt returning kicks and punts. I could understand if he was being used more on offense but he isnt. Never do they use his speed to stretch the field. That being said, I dont believe he will ever be a number one wr. He gets tackled way too easily and doesnt make people miss. I honestly feel that would get more production with Bess starting or even Hagan. So, should miami try to trade Ginn?

Ginn is contributing 0 percent on offense and doesnt look like he's making significant strides. Given that he was the 9th overall pick last year and making more money than hagan, trading ginn makes some sense.

You know what I can't even be that mad at Ginn. A guy like him with his specific talents should warrant the coaching staff to figure out ways to get him the ball. Put him in motion, get him involved on the wildcat offense. Just do something that uses his skills. From what I have seen so far in his career he doesnt drop anything that hits his hands. I think Ive only seen him drop one ball. But at least try to get him the ball 3-5 times a game. And by the way I dont count it when we throw the WR screen because Miami has never been able to run that play though it seems that every other team can. I dont know if its because Chad cant get the ball there that quickly or that we dont sell it good it enough I dont know. Just make an effort to get him the ball.

I really thought Ginn had what it took to be an elite playmaker in this league I guess not

he got the ball this year plenty enough to do more than he has done. I love a player underperforms but its not his fault.

Who's fault it is that one's favorite player underperforms is in direct proportion to how much emotional loyalty one has to that player, vs another player of coach that could be blamed.

Ie; It's not the QBs fault! It's his terrible Oline/recievers! It's not the WRs fault! It's bad playcalling by the coaches, and, a QB that won't throw to him when he's open! It's not the OLT's fault because the QB needs to know when to get rid of the ball! It's not the coache's fault if the players can't run the plays! HE can't make chicken salad out of....Well, you get the picture.

Ginn simply is not a football player. He is a track star with pads. That works at the college level, but not in the Pros. He is afraid of contact, period. The best receivers and punt returners aren't afraid to take a hit - it's part of the job. It's why they make millions. When Ginn has the ball in his hands, he reacts the same way any of us would if we were running towards an NFL player, only pretend like you aren't wearing pads and you secretly have a vagina. I'm just trying to shed light on what is happening here.

some of you guys are just ridiculous, We could throw out any top wr in our offence and they would be no where near as productive as they should be with our offence. Now im not bashing penningtons arm but we have to recognize that Ginn is a deep threat and an open feild threat. When the opposing d can throw 9 i nthe box and the d backs can play off our wr's 6 yards (no speed in the world is going to get by the d back soon enough) they know ginn does not have the time to beat the d back within reasonable time and distance for pennington to hit him. Now the couner for this would usually be throing quick bubble screens out to our wr's however this requires a qb with a strong enought arm to gun it out as quick as possible. trying to do this with pennington the d back will have enought time to get in proper position to negate that play. Ginn is a fantastic talent they just cannot be utilized with pennington,

look at what jearicho cotchery is doing with an arm that farve has now on the jets, he is a slasher like ginn who could not fully utilize his skill set due to pennington.

lets realize that pennington is a vet that is just haloing henne and once henne is ready and gets his turn both he and ginn will suprise many.

also i would like to make the connection a player who is similar to ginn

santana moss - spent his first years with pennington and could not do anything, now he has a qb with a sufficent arm and look at him.

lol i was bored so figured id make an elaborate post.

Hmm Santanna had a pretty damn good 74 catch 1000 yard campaign with Pennington in 2003. Ginn was a deep threat in college but he was playing college cbs much like Desmond Howard was but in the pros Ginn has not been a deep threat.

I think Teddy Bear could be a pretty darn good flag football player because tackle is obviously not his game. So when the dolphins make the shift to the NFFL we’ll be at least one position up on the competition --- advance kudos’s to Cam!

the problem is pennington, he has the weakest arm in the NFL, We cant throw strike downfield, or do anything deep routes. Pennington doesn't fit Ginn style of play. I guarantee you that once Henne comes in you will see him catch the deep routes. No those 10 yards come back routes we are running.
