Ted Ginn Factory (not family) received a huge confidence boost today. I believe this is the start of a new deep ball era. One pass yes, but vs one of the best pass defenses and 'BEST' corner in football, in which I replied in an earlier thread that Revis must be tested deep like last season, and he was torched.

I think this will be the beginning of what is to come as far as TGJ burning whole defenses. Props to the OC for calling a screen or 2 this game.

We still need a #1 WR though

ginn only had 2 catches, thankfully one was a long bomb for a TD :)

If we get a real #1 WR, and then put ginn at #2 or #3, we can be in good shape for now

He was also wide open on 2 othe PA passes, when Henne checked down. I am not dogging Henne by any means, but it was there. Great to have a QB that can not only get it there, but get it there with some speed so the D can't react.

As I said earlier in another thread. Ted Ginn may not be the best receiver in the world, but he sure as hell has a better chance at succeeding with a qb that plays to his strengths (speed - getting open)

Tonight was a perfect example, Henne hits ginn IN STRIDE and open for a 53 yard bomb. This is something that ginn has almost never had from a QB and as a speedster it should be his M.O.

I still believe he is a better number 2 and we need a yards after catch type of guy for our #1 but this could be a good start for the redemption of Ted Ginn.

that is the most important thing i have been sayign for months.

This may be all that Ted Ginn is gonna be, but it is still nice to see that kind of play from a Dolphin receiver. I'm all with getting the full package receiver in here idea, but Ginn could be a nice compliment if we can keep him and Henne in sync for more plays like that.

If only Cam would have realized that you can get the burner WR without using the number 9 pick, we wouldn't have hated Ginn so much over the years. Ginn would have made a heck of a second rounder.

Houston was taking him at #10 and the entire league knew it. That's why we pulled the trigger at #9 instead of trading down and still getting our guy (Ginn).

Not only does this open up things for our run game but now Teddy can really take advantage of some much improved route running skills. We all know that Teddy can run in a straight line but look for him to start using that speed as a decoy. Now he can really start to do some things.

And even if that wasn't the case, there was zero chance Ginn made it into round 2.

I'm so happy for that pass to Ginn. Not just because it helped the Dolphins win....but it'll SHUT UP a TON of Debbie Downers on this board. Penny + Ginn = Fail. Henne + Ginn = Hellz yeah.
