temper your expectations & you won't suffer great disappointments. we are in the second year of a four year project. we still have holes to fill. and even if every hole were filled, we'd need time to develop talent across the board. our coaches have to hone skills & implement systems of play.
we need for the Franchise QB to step up (probably not going to happen in 2009) before we go to a SuperBowl:crazy:
we're off to a magnificent start. however, consider the schedule, I would be content with a winning season, playing every game with 100% intensity & improving as we moved through the season as a team.
I figure (at this point) 8 maybe 9 wins with lots of blood. In 2010 We Will Contend! just a matter of time. enjoy the process.

what do you think?

I hear what you're saying, but as soon as that first kickoff happens I throw reason out the window.

No. 13-3! My expectations will always be high. Cant be scared of failure or success.

We are the defending AFC East champions and we will improve upon last year.

Only time I ever tempered my expectations was 2004 when Ricky retired, and when Cam Cameron was hired and we got Trent Green.

I'm just hoping we can go at least 4-2 in division and 11-5 again..
If we go 11-5 again, with this years schedule, that shows signs of steady improvement..
I just hope we dont start off 2-4 and have to pull a hottest team in the league again to win the division.. heres to beating the pats, jets and bills with ease.

Screw that. I think we have a chance to win each game one at a time.

can't measure a steady improvement, exclusively or even essentially in the wins/ loss column of team that is being restructured.
one step back and three or four forward is the way most very good teams progress in the rebuilding of a franchise. it takes time.
just don't want to see all the negative posts pop up when we come up short of irrational expectations. it is what it is: year two.

bro we can go 0-16....and i will never post negative posts. I would wager 98% of my posts are positive...no matter how bad I might be hurting.

I'm sorry, but if "enjoying the rebuilding process" means "have fun watching your team lose" then I'm not tempering anything.

Can't we wait until after the draft/final cuts/training camp injuries to make predictions or set expectations?

I think the Fins will have a chance in every game they play this year. I think the best case is we go 11-5 again this year, worst case I believe will be 7-9. A lot will depend on how the team jels and how injury free the fins stay.

Simply based on schedule, I would be happy with 8-8
