Terrence Fede is outplaying Dion Jordan.

Say that to yourself a few times. Terence Fede, and raw prospect out of Marist and drafted in the 7th round, is outplaying Dion Jordan. Dion Jordan, drafted in the top 10 last year is being outplayed by a guy who played in the Pioneer league in college. Did anyone here even know their was a pioneer league? I hope this is an aberration, if not...a hearty **** you Jeff Ireland.

I knew there was a pioneer league but then two of the schools aren't far from me.

I never knew his name was pronounced Fah-Day. Thought it was pronounced Feed unless the Tampa announcers had it wrong. I'm really pulling for this guy.

Or it could be Fee-dee or Fed-ee. I've heard it all.

Considering there are players who fall through the cracks like James Harrison, it's certainly within the realm of possibility that late rounders like Fede and Tripp and UDFAs like McCain and one or both of the Williams'es could not only make the roster but prosper. Also, one needs only to look at our own legendary 5th rounder, ZT. It would be a shame if Jordan turns out to be our version of Vernon Gholston, but Hickey has no ego tied up in his success and if he's beaten out, hopefully the better players will play before him, no matter their lack of pedigree.

The league needs to expand the roster size. I'd hate to lose Fede or McCain or Jalil Brown.

I don't know about Jordan, he is a physical freak but he didn't beast in college like Jadaeveon, yet he was picked only 2 picks behind him (different years of course).

Jordan doesn't seem amped or enthused in his interviews, maybe that's just the laid back California guy thing....who knows.

53 players is enough players on roster.

I get the feeling whenever his contract is up or he is let go that Chip will pick him up and he will play lights out for the Eagles or some other team.

He doesn't seem to be able to deal with the pressure at this point in his career.

Fede has a surprisingly amazing set of fundamentals, and NFL level strength and size.

Jordan never learned the things he needed to know to be a every down player, but once he does, if he does, he will be a monster.

He's def behind where you want him to be, but Fede doing better than him right now doesn't mean anything.

The Pioneer League is a non scholarship, football only, FCS division conference...it means a lot. If you think Fede received anywhere near the coaching that Jordan did I've got ocean front property in Kansas I'd like to sell you. Fede is extremely raw and lacks technique. He's winning battles right now on will power and determination. If this kid gets a full year of NFL training he might become the next Adewale Ogunleye (even though Ogunleye was undrafted and played in the Big 10...but you get my drift) for us.

Rembrandt was not a paint-by-numbers guy. It is about more than metrics and measurables.

I said it before and got blasted to the tune of the all-time record for no-thanks on this site:

I DREAM OF A MIAMI DOLPHINS WITHOUT daniel thomas, michael egnew and dion jordan.

They are all, every one of them, by-the-numbers acorns who excel at underachieving.

I get your point, but it means nothing as far Jordan goes.

It just means Fede is playing well, and technically I think your really underrating him now and in college.

If Jordan fails, it speaks equally of our coaches' inability to bring his talents to the field and develop his unique size and abilities.

The reason many players go to other teams and succeed is because they are put in situations that allow them to succeed.

I'm not impressed with our handling of Jordan. Especially when we take him away from what was working last year and his ability to cover TEs to making him put a hand in the dirt and bulk up for stopping the run.

Dion Jordan's unique gifts should dictate he is allowed to roam freely along the defensive line standing and freelance his blitzing and covering TEs. He should be roaming the DL on every play looking for the weakness and finding the matchup to overload.

Coaches like Steve Spagnuolo salivate for this type of freakish athlete to harass the LOS and scheme outside the box.

Jordan should be creating headaches for OCs. Instead, we are letting him become a headache for our DC.
