Texans cut Glenn

I like Aaron Glenn, personally, but I don't think Saban is going to bring in any 33 year-old CBs to start.

Yes I love your name. One of my fav episodes. As for Glenn I think we should sign him because he could make one hell of a FS.

Don't know if he could make one hell of a safety, but for cheap and one year I will give him a try..

Carlton Thompson, of the <A href="http://www.kffl.com/link/140">Houston Chronicle, reports Houston Texans CB Aaron Glenn has reached a deal with the Dallas Cowboys. The Texans, according to sources, will facilitate the deal by granting Glenn his release. Glenn previously played for Cowboys head coach Bill Parcells when both were with the New York Jets.

Aaron Glenn at 33 is still at the top of his game one of the best corners in the league. He was due to make 4 million this year for Houston, and they definitely released him because of cap reasons. I'm hoping he'd want to play for Miami and take a much cheaper contracts, but I doubt it'll be happening. He'd make a great CB or FS much like Troy Vincent, but I think better. I bet a bunch of teams will be all over him, and someone will end up paying him what he's asking for. I know I heard rumors about him getting cut with the acquisition of Phillip Buchanon (Texans obviously want youth), but I really didn't believe they would. I would love to have Aaron Glenn, but I will go offering a ridiculous amount even though he'll probably get it, just not from us.

Why not older corners who are slowing down a bit often make very good Free Safeties i.e. Rod Woodson, Aeneas Williams, and recently Troy Vincent. So why wouldn't Glenn have the same chance?

I agree

Aaron Glenn is 5'9", 175 lbs, and some of you think he can play safety?

Not in Nick Saban's defense. I knew Nick wouldn't be interested. Glenn is the antithesis of a Saban style of cornerback. Nothing against his coverage ability, but Saban likes his cornerbacks to have size and long arms to go along with speed, quickness, and ball skills.

You are correct. Glenn is way too small to play Safety. He is also not a good tackler. He should be a good cover corner in Dallas though.

how many games has vincent played last year in Buffalo ?
