texans O vs fins D

this game is in doubt folks. the problem is the only way the texans can move the ball is the only thing we'll have a problem defending; johnson and moulds. together they have 35 receptions. the rest of the team combined has 21. as we all know saban loves to blitz, and we can't do that and double both moulds and johnson. something's gotta give. i guess the best way to go about this game is 4-3 fronts with safeties helping on moulds and johnson and make the texans execute play after play dumping the ball to backs and TEs which carr has shown he doesn't like to do. i don' think they would be able to sustain drives that way. if we can take moulds and johnson out of the picture this game is over. fins win. easier said than done, of course....

their running game shouldn't be a problem for us, so johnson and moulds will be our focus.... ofcourse the key will be gettin to Carr. That's where Dom Capers comes in. I expect a very good performance from our D this weekend... nothing less.

You think the Housten texens are gonna rip our D to shreds???? I dont see it, Our pass rush will get in carr's face and he will make some poor decisions. Moulds and Johnson will be our focus and we will key on them and dominate the game...... I hope

so how do you suggest getting to carr and covering johnson and moulds at the same time? i think it's time to put the ineffective 3-4 zone and cover 0 blitzes to rest for this weekend and go with 4 down and tell JT, carter and holiday it's time to produce a serious pass rush.

I have little to no confidence in our playing right now. Last week showed me that we can barely beat a team whos worse than "struggling." I think we are better than the texans, but I think the secondary wont be able to stop em. I believe we win the game 21-20, but its by a last second touchdown or something of that nature.

Seriously, would it really surprise you if they did go pass happy on us?

Certainly I hope pass rush will get to Carr before the big plays can develop and that's our chance to be able to dominate the game. If they don't however, I could definitely see Johnson and Moulds having great games tearing up what has been a suspect at best secondary.

Hopefully Daniels will bring improved play with another week in his comeback but that is yet to be seen. On a darker note, even if Daniels comes back strong it does nothing to solve the safety problems. It's a mess back there.

Saban has mentioned that it's mostly communication mix ups which I'd like to believe but I've seen some pretty bad coverage out of this group.

Carr has had a TD pass to his TE in the last two games he has played. I really don't like our chances to shut down their offense, so I really hope we start to score. Maybe Welker can run back a kick or two.

may i offer a little tid bit that might just cheer a few of you nay sayers up? our d coordinator has been the only coach some texans have had ......I would assume capers knows them better than they know themselves!

Geez, this fins chick knows more about this team than most of the guys here. Nice post SarahAnn, I totally agree. Look at Carr's passer rating this year also. They have been lighting it up in the air.
