Texans to Trade QB Carr

SI has reported that the Texans are going to trade David Carr and Jake Plummer will compete with Sage and a rookie for the starting QB job. What would you give up on a trade for Carr?

I wouldn't trade for Carr in our current situation period.

Don't get me wrong, I believe Carr has the potential to be one heck of a QB. It's just that we have so much money tied up into Daunte that trading for Carr would probably do more harm than good. The only way I would entertain the thought is if Cameron decided to release Daunte because he feels Daunte is done. In that scenario I would give up a 3rd rounder.

No it's not. The article says Plummer will start and they want to "develop a rookie QB". If Quinn is there at 8, he won't be there at 9.

David Carr will be traded, and Jake Plummer will be the Texans quarterback next season. Plummer will compete with Sage Rosenfels and a rookie Gary Kubiak wants to develop.

Honestly if I had Brady Quinn, Jake Plummer and Sage Rosenfels I'd start Quinn. Forget about development. Jake us the guy who lost his job to a rookie already because he couldnt play well enough to keep his job!
