Should all the top teams win Saturday, Texas figures to be No. 2 when the first Bowl Championship Series standings are released Monday, but independent analyst Jerry Palm said its margin on Virginia Tech will be slim and it is possible the Longhorns could open No. 3. "The thing is, Texas is playing a decent opponent this week (No. 24 Colorado), and that will probably help Texas, at least this week," Palm said Tuesday. "It would not surprise me if Texas fluctuates over the next few weeks."

Virginia Tech is off this week.

Top teams in the final BCS standings Dec. 4 will meet in the Rose Bowl for the BCS national title.

I'll be here if CU eats crow, but I just think Joel Klatt has done a nice job at QB...they did not play very well in Miami (blame it on the heat), but I think Barnett will have the guys up for the Longhorns....I am going to watch Air Force play UNLV at Falcon stadium at 10 AM, and then rush home to see my Buffs. :)
 
OUCH!!!!

I guess I need to give the deed to my house and farm to Buddwalk..as soon as I get a house and a farm. :lol: I got to see Air Force spank UNLV 42-7 today at Falcon Stadium...I also picked up a 1997 game worn Falcon jersey for $30....looks kind of like the San Diego chargers uniform with the Lightning Bolts but it is all white with blue numbers and blue lightning bolts, size 48, fits perfect. :)
 
We (UT) have been screwed all season. USC have been choking and coming back to win by default all season whereas Texas is a lights out competitor every week. I still hold firm that the Texas defense isthe most well rounded unit of any unit in college football this season.
 
Texas are going to hand USC their ***** in the championship. :)

They didn't look lights out when they barely beat OSU.
