This is not meant as a " man we really got one on you" type of thread because you did recieve a 2nd round pick for him. Nope, this is a sincere Thank You!
Chambers has been NAILS for us and has added that extra element that we needed on offense. I remember reading here or someplace that he dropped passes often and missed some easy catches but let me tell ya.....he has not dropped ONE pass since he has been here that i can recall. He has demonstrated very good hands and has made some great plays for us. He has been really great for us.


Sorry, i dont know if you guys have been talking baout him during these playoffs, so if there is a thread, sorry guys i just wanted to say i am very happy with what he has brought and wanted to give thanks and hope you guys can get a good player to help you out with that 2nd round pick.
 
Glad you guys can use him. We couldn't figure out how. I feel happy for him.

Now go out there and beat the#$@^%!! Patriots, please.
 
Yawn. Chambers is a stiff. When it matters, he wont show up. Sorry, but its true. You will see.
 
im glad he may have a chance to go to a superbowl in SD i just wish we would have never got reed of him the reason he is droping so much is because u guys have one QB playing the entire year un like the dolphins

You're welcome. I liked him, but I admit was frustrated with his drops in crucial moments. Combine that with the fact that our team is truly in a rebuilding mode, and that 2nd round pick became much more valuable to us than having a Chambers would have. Likewise, with the Chargers current level of talent and success, having Chambers will serve them alot better than having that 2nd pick would have. So, I say good trade for both teams. And for the record, the same logic fits perfectly into the Wes Welker trade thing as well. When your player is more valuable to someone else than they would be for you, and that someone else has something you desperately need, its a good trade. Having Welker and Chambers without a QB and surrounding cast that's ready to properly utilize them is like having inherited a lamborghini, and due to a lack of finances on your part, you can't even pay the taxes and/or insurance to drive it, and instead selling it off for a substantial amount of cash, which you then use to erase credit card debt, buy yourself a brand new Accord (which is really what you need to get back and forth to work) and still have some cash left over to invest for the future. Keeping the Lamborghini would make you look cool, but it just doesn't get you any where.

Its mattered plenty lately and he has come up big. Thats all i got to go on.

Seriously ...he hasnt dropped 1 pass( knock on wood)
 
I would love to see Chambers have a great day on the Pats tomorrow. I think the deal was fair for both sides...you got CC and we got a 2nd rounder.

no worries. He's exactly what you guys needed. Not a go to guy, but a solid WR to take pressure off of Gates and help Jackson develop. Aside from his big second half in 05, he never became the go-to guy we needed here. Not really a knock on him, just we needed him to be something he wasn not.

Plus, we really needed the extra pick.

he was doing a pretty good job in miami thins this year he kind of did become the go to guy he didnt drop any pass with trent in as QB but when u have to change QBs in the middle of the season it is hard for a WR

You mean like his 120 yard playoff game against the Titans? Or his clutch 30 yard TD catch to go with a HUGE 3rd down reception last week vs. the Colts?

or how about the one against the titans(i think) that was a good throw to him but was picked off because the db has inside position and chris just watched him pick it off instead of even making an attempt to stop the db from picking off the pass??

i loved chambers, dont get me wrong. but it was plays like that one that got on my nerves.

sad to see him go, but we got a 2nd rounder, hopefully things work out for him well in SD. he has made some great plays out there already, and i still wish he was doing that for us... but... oh well.
