The only ones with big cap numbers are taylor and thomas. Plus lance is an UFA.

What was this great selfless deed which Carter performed to deserve so much gratitude?? He still got every penny he was due. What is the big deal? He changed the wording in his contract.....not the amount. If anything.....he secured his future with the team, as there will now be additional cap concerns for releasing/trading him in the future.

It really seems like most people around here don't know what 'restructuring' means.

For sure right.....restructuring and reducing your salary are two completely different things.

Culpepper cost us around 2.5 million against the cap. GUESS WHAT?! We just made that up by cutting Gus (around 1.4 million) and restructuring Carter (around 1.125 million) GREAT NEWS!

I've noticed that too. If my boss promised to give me $500 a year for the next 3 years (in addition to my salary), and then came in one day and said, look, I'm just gonna give you the whole $1500 right now, I doubt my boss would be walking around telling everybody what a great guy I was for taking all the money at once.
