I would just like to thank Nick Saban for not settling on a fourth round pick. Thank you for doing the right thing and making good choices this offseason. I am so proud to be a phin fan and we are starting to look like a proud franchise again.

i like what hes done so far and i think we should have a pretty good draft but we havent played a single game yet so i wont judge him..i give him credit for the surtain deal and the chiefs finally realized that with vermeils clock ticking they need to win now

Nick Saban will soon be mentioned in that conversation about "who are the best coaches in the NFL??"

I promise.

Absolutely! I appreciate the fact that Saban didn't let his guard dwon and made Kansas City settle for our demands. People here are saying they don't like this trade and I'm sure most of us didn't want to see Surtain go but it was imminent and it also took off alot of weight of the cap. Good work Nick!

Amen to that brother!!!

I don't like the swapping of 5ths, but then I wouldn't want to pay Surtain what the Chiefs are. Surtain will sign a seven-year contract worth $50.8 million, with $14 million in guarantees included.

I feel he has to take Edwards # 2 after bluffing (or not) with teams. It will show them that he means business and next year if you want a player, you better pay the man!

Just listening to ESPN and they were talking about rounds 5 thru 7 having players that really have no shot in this draft. If that is the case, I'm fine with it. And if anyone knows someone that could make it, I feel it's Saban!

Why? The 5th swap is from 138th to 147th...no biggie.

The swap of the 5th rounders was just so Carl Peterson would not have to say he got his buttocks handed to him by a rookie coach.:roflmao:

The swaping of the 5th rounder was no big deal at all. At that round it doesnt matter that much.

:yeahthat: :0wned:

A switch of 5th rounders is not that big of a drop for us, as the 5th round is more of a crap shoot than earlier in the draft can be. You know that you might find a few diamonds in the ruff and if they are in the ruff to make it to the 5th, they should make it for a few more picks. I really like how Saban said, "the dolphins want a 2nd for Surtain, period". I hate to see him go but we did get our asking price with a little wiggle with the switch of 5ths. Real good job so far Nick, and we havent even made it to draft day.
