Ricky Williams:

If you're reading this I just want to say great work coming back and playing so well.

I know that Ronnie is the talk of the NFL but that's in no small part thanks to you my man. You provide a great threat of a run to the outside to thin out the defensive line and backer core when we run the wild-cat--this helps give Ronnie those bigger wholes. When we do give you the ball, you give 100% doing (what I think are) the harder runs. You still are keeping up to almost 4 yards per carry.

When you're not running you are doing an amazing job on the blocking. Great heads-up play on that busted wild-cat TD run during the SD game. Without you coming back into the play like a rocket and making the block we would have not scored on that play.

Keep up the good work man.

P.S. - Tell the coach to please put Ginn in during the returns.

- Best Wishes, ThunderDan13

it's nice to have both of these guys. And I agree.... Ricky is a hell of a blocker. He's flying around hitting people.

So now Ricky is responsible for Ronnies success? I guess last year when Ronnie was leading the league in total yards that was Ricky's doing too? Maybe Ricky was deep in meditation and "willed" Ronnie those yards.
Look, Im glad that Ricky is contributing too, and I hope that he will prove me wrong and stay clean this time. But to "thank" Ricky Williams for what Ronnie has shown and is continuing to show is... well, I don't even know what to call that kind of logic.

Totally agree. Next week I think we should give him the ball a little more in that formation. Teams are going to concentrate on stopping Ronnie when we're in the wildcat, so we should incorporate Ricky a little more as far as running.

Ronnie is doing an amazing job. No doubt about that.

I say this:

Without a back of Ricky's caliber running by him every now and again getting the fake/real hand-off from time to time when we run the Wildcat.... I don't see us having the same success.

The Wildcat isn't a gimmick, and while Ronnie's last two games have been pro-bowl caliber, the formation is MUCH MUCH more than handing him the ball and seeing what he can do with it. The misdirection coupled with the holes and stopping that the unbalanced line are doing are giving Ronnie a lot of room to shine. Take Ricky away, make our line a little less physical and the Wildcat turns into Ronnie going down behind the line 4 of 5 times.

- I'm thanking Ricky because a great block doesn't come out in the stats.
- You also don't get a share of TD when the way you ran a fake gave enough hesitation to the linebackers to allow Ronnie a clear path to the end-zone.
- Finally, the times he has gotten the ball, he's gotten numbers worthy of a starter.

Ricky Williams makes our offense tough to defend. Pick your poison, Ronnie or Ricky.
R & R Express is back....

His numbers are actually worthy of a backup running back (3.8 ypc) but I am extremely happy to have him on this team. He is one of the more talented backups in the league and he seems completely content to play that role and help out the team. He is the perfect role player on this team.
