That 6 game streak was simply amazing. This is going to be very similar to what we all heard when Fiedler left. But Gus gave us his best. He knew what he was getting into from the beginning and he did the best he could and salvaged a pretty damn good year that could have been alot worse. So all I have to say is thanks and best of luck finding your place in the league. I wish Gus nothing but the best. I hope to see him starting somewhere again real soon.
 
Thanks Gus! You made the quarterback position more exciting than it's been in years. You gave us your all, and that meant a lot. Good luck and thank you.
 
OHHH. I didn't think of that. I'd absolutely love to have Gus backing up Pepper. And i definitely wouldn't mind having him start the season in Daunte isn't ready yet. COME ON BACK GUS!!!!!!

What are you talking about! He came in for one year and helped an at best 5 and 11 team become a 9 and 7 team.

Me too.I like Gus.He might resign because he can start maybe close to a half a season if culpepper dont heel good.Gus can be a big part in our super bowl run ..
 
yea i also would like to thank gus...he knew his role when he signed with us last year, to fill in for a season until we find our guy, and today we did...thanks for showing improvement last year and for all the exciting wins!!!
 
finnyfan, if you thought for a second that gus frerotte was going to come in here and win us a super bowl in a year, let alone EVER, you sir are on crack. everyone knows that gus was a seat warmer for bigger things to come (DAUNTE!!!). he held down the fort because he knew linehan's system. and i for one commend him for overcoming everyone's expectations and giving us something to cheer for.

I think you could head back to Denver and backup Plummer, or
head back to Minny and back up Johnson. Watch out for end zone walls. :lol:

If you want to forget that Sage won the games against Buffalo and New York, be my guest. Gus is gone, and that's all that matters.
