Sure we had to endure a painful 4-12 season last year. But because of Ricky Williams, our future now looks much brighter than it did last summer.

Had Ricky Williams not abruptly retired last summer, we probably would have had another 9-7, maybe 10-6 season. Had that happened, Dave Wannstedt I can gaurantee would still be our coach right now. With Wannstedt we would have been hovering around mediocrity for years to come. However, seeing as Ricky Williams did leave and we had a poor season resulting in Dave Wannstedt's firing, we now have Nick Saban as our coach. With Saban our future looks a whole hell of a lot better than it would if we still had Wannstedt.

Here's to you Ricky Williams. Thank you.
 
Do you think that these were his intentions? They wernt.
He wasn't thinking about the team he was thinking about himself.
 
Wow....there must be 300 threads on this exact same subject. I have argued against all of them, but im tired of it. Basically i add on to wedlerpats post
 
Saying Ricky leaving was a good thing because it got rid of Wannstedt is dumb beyond belief.

Wannstedt would have been gone anyway if this team didn't go far in the playoffs. And if we did go far in the playoffs then why would you want to get rid of the coach?
 
I think you right, I am glad Wanny is gone Ricky is back and we can finally get that 4-12 monkey off our back, I think the Dolphins will be the sleeper this year and make some heads turn come weeks 13-17....
 
How many thank you posts must there be? I thank Ricky for coming back and bringing us lots of media coverage :)

I agree unless Wanny took it to the AFC Championship game he was gone. We all know with all the non-coaching that was going on here last year that was not going to happen.

I think Saban was coming here no matter what.

And i'm sure Ricky was just doing whats best for the Dolphins. :rolleyes:
 
i think rather than thanking ricky we should view his retirement as a blessing in disguise.
 
I guess you could say his leaving guaranteed us Ronnie Brown though.. Hopefully Ronnie turns out to be similar to that other RB with the last name Brown.
