I'd like to give a quick thank you to certain people who has devoted their own time into the GM League, let me start off with the obvious.
The GMs of EVERY team
Without all of you, this league wouldn't have been a success. We've went through hectic times and slow times, but all in all, pretty much all GMs were very active throughout the year. I'd like to give a big thank you for staying alive and not dying on Greg and myself.
Saint Greg
Of course I have to thank Greg, without him this GM League wouldn't even be here and we'd all be sitting twiddling our thumbs during the offseason more than we usually do. I appreciate the advice and helping me keep things under control (especially during FA time). I know Greg runs a hectic schedule as he not only keeps a busy schedule with his job but also runs a draft website where he interviews various incoming NFL rookies. Thanks a lot bro.
The Draft Committee
A big thanks to the draft committee who helped me with the draft, making it a HUGE success once again. TractorTraylor, azfinfanmang, schisno, vadolfan, and Stitches were the Committee members who kept the draft alive and running. I cannot describe how much these guys helped me during the draft. Big props!
All of the guys who kept track of a FA position
Without these guys, FA wouldn't have occured as myself and Greg would've gone crazy if we had to do this by ourselves. It's great that we have honest GMs that are willing to take 10 minutes out of their life to help us out. Schisno, Y-Town, JTBRLZ, B.Sebo, TractorTraylor, vadolfan, Sean, Stitches were the ones among Greg and myself who helped keep track of FA positions. Everything is greatly appreciated.
Every year we have certain members that stand out who help Greg and myself, this year we had quite a handful. Throughout the GM League year, we had a few members who were ALWAYS willing to do something for Greg or myself. Whether they were taking their own time to update their FA thread or spend hours upon hours looking up rookies for certain teams to draft when they missed their slots. I couldn't have done it without the advice of guys like TractorTraylor and schisno... while SO many other guys have helped me with this and that I can't even think of all the names. I'd like to thank NewEra8 because he helped me with the voting and was a tiebreaker for one of the voting processes, he was the Eagles last year and missed most of this year being he was in the Army yet he came back cheerfully and willing to help and we hope he return next year. All in all, I'd like to wrap this up by thanking one guy in particular who BY FAR surpassed my expectations of any "new GM"... That man tackled one of the toughest positions to update with FA because it's three to five positions within one... and also one of the big name positions. Not only that but he did a tremendous job with the draft and I honestly think without him, the draft would've taken much longer... I'm talking about vadolfan, you did a great job this year and everything you did this year was greatly appreciated.
Now that my long speech is over with, I hope to see YOU ALL next year. And here's to a great Miami Dolphins season (and New Orleans Saints too, for Saint Greg... I guess)... and a crappy New England Patriots season (for schisno, my main man)... :drinkers:
Note: If anyone has any thanks, feel free to post them in here. :)
