I Want To Talk About The Games The Fish Have Played In On T-giving Day.
4 That I Could Recall The 1st Was In 1975 Against The Cards In St. Louis Greise Threw 6 Tds I Was 11 Then And It Just Takes Me Back To The Good Old Days!!
Then That Classic In 93 In The Snow Storm Wow That Was Still Unbelievable!! Was De Burg The Qb In That Game Or Was It Mitchell?
I Have To Find Some Time To Watch That One Over Again Soon.
1999? We Got Crushed By The Cowboys, I Beleive Marino Thew 4 Or 5 Ints In That Debacal. I Dont Even Want To Remember That One.
2003- Jason Taylor, Ricky Williams Chamber And O-gun Were Phenominal. That Was A Good A-- Kicking!!
Just Some Thoughts, Hope This Brings Back Some Good T-giving Memeories For Some Of You Dolphin Fans

I went to the 03 game here in Dallas, was my first Dolphins game, and the only one to date so far. It was a great game... I was on a high after that game for at least a week. I also remember the Ice Bowl game, bet a friend the Dolphins would win and won like $20, I was 13 at the time. I have both those games on DVD and watch them often.

Yep!! I remember Chambers getting tons of respect!! Salisbury said he was a Pro bowler....Man how were we ALL wrong?

i went to the 03 dallas game and i will never forget it....

some things i saw and remember very clearly....
  • Dan marino was so old and broken down... he had his own trainer whose job it was to stretch him and keep him limber when Dan was on the sideline
  • i watch Gadsden put a move and run right by deon Sanders.... and i knew that Primetimes career was over because there was no reciever slower than OG...
  • Cowboy stadium is one big party... my wife and i watched the first game of the day from the hooters tent in the parking lot on big screen tv's and ate turkey legs.

t-day tradition? does anyone want to get rid off the Lions on thanksgiving. I'm tired of having my afternoon wasted watching Detroit get blasted by 30 points every year.

Somehow I remember watching that '93 Thanksgiving game even though I was 8 years old at the time.

I would say keep the Lions and Cowboys because of tradition alone. Even though the Lions are usally pitiful, i'm sure there time will come eventually. Also, have a night game, that way at least your guaranteed one compettive game.

Ya know my brother mentioned that last year and I thought it was a great ides. To put a game on Thursday night at 8:30 ESPN... but no set team like the Lions and Cowboys. I think that would be awesome.

I was at the 93, 99, and 03 games. 2 out of 3 were great, the other made me sick......literally.

The Dolphins turkey game in which Griese threw 6 TD's was in 1977 not 1975....the best one was beating the Cowboys in the snow after Leon Lett decided to touch the ball.

I think it is a good tradition to have Dallas and Detroit always playing on Turkey Day....Detroit usually plays decent on Turkey day. I don't think it gives them any advantage or disadvantage as they have a short week followed by a long week....as long as the teams don't have two cupcake teams on the schedule it seems fair. I don't think most other teams really want to play on Turkey Day.

Maybe
Then again there is a 50% chance that we will be the Lions opponent on Thanksgiving day next year(the other possibility is Buffalo :goof: ).
