That guy Channing Crowder..

Channing is slept on hard on this site. Hey the guy comes up with big tackles, he sworms to the ball...how many times has this guy come up with 4th down goal line tackles...thats sick...his swagger is pretty funny too..the guy is a good character..last year people were chanting off with his head and to trade em..

I think part of it is that he had a pretty good rookie year but didn't progress as much as everyone thought he would....this season he's playing good so far tho

i appreciate Crowder. However the thing with him is, he might be a solid MLB, hes not a playmaking MLB like say Ray Lewis. I will take solid though. Hopefully we will go MLB in the 1st round of the draft. Ayodele is getting up there in age and we need a nice playmaker to compliment Crowder.

Honestly, i dont know say when it comes to channing crowder. I cant watch the games so i cant evaluate him. but his stats suggest he's not as bad as people say he is.

Can anyone give an honest evalution of Channing crowder?

Channing is not what you will consider a beast, he is above average. Imagine if you paired him with a mean beast like Mauluga.

The guy is average at best. He sometimes takes poor angles, he is poor in coverage, I've never seen him deliver a really hard hit, and he misses tackles...he is on my list of "to be replaced..."

(And no, he did not make the stop on the 4th and goal play...that was Holliday who we can thank for that. Crowder cleaned it up afterwards, but if it wasn't for Holliday it would have been TD LT.)

No way do we draft a WR in the 1st round, no way do we draft a CB in the 1st round, not with all the CB prospects who will be available come round 2. Plus it's not how Parcells does things. Add to that the fact we will be getting Asomugha and/or Roy Williams :up: so it won't be neccessary. Although I'd like Vontae Davis in the 1st round, however he won't make it that far.

Everone has bad games, Zach Thomas had bad games. With that being said, I'm not so sold on Maualuga either. However I still think we need to draft a MLB high in the draft.

Oh...I didn't say we don't need an MLB...I think we do, just I have seen three different games now with Maualuga and he hasn't impressed me in any.

crowder is a good player, not a great one. doesnt make sacks nor interceptions ,, solid tackles is what the man does(which is fine, just not great)

I don't think we will resign him, and if we do it won't be much of a payday that he expects, so he might just go elsewhere.

I think one of the reasons why Channing is not talked much about is because he doesn't cause the big plays. You know the Force Fumbles, Sacks or Ints.
