You heard it here.

Henne (fold under pressure) will be a good backup, and so will McCown (his 6 years have shown that and nothing more).

Great pick, FO. There'll be some good competition during camp, but Beck will impress and that will be that.

We've got our 3 QB's now.

And for all the Beck-bashers (you know I know who you are), start throwing.

I agree with you. Beck seems like a man on a mission and my gut is telling me he will win the job.

True that, Beck is already determined. Henne breathing down his neck will just make him work that much harder. Playing with a chip on your shoulder does wonders.

Nope. Beck will be benched in favor of Henne, so that the organization can have their QB. If it weren't for Merling, Henne would have been a Dolphin at 32. It's become Henne's job to lose, despite what we're all going to hear over the next couple of months.

I think Beck's already been on his mission, actually.

He has....and now he's on another one. Nothing will stand in his way! The guys got a level head, and the maturity to overcome any obstacles in his way.

Beck wins....Miami wins.

i agree...i think a very determined quaterback with someone of his natural talent should look much better this year...i think we have a solid younger roster with room to grow and learn to win consistently together

Sorry. Bob Griese and I disagree with you. Beck will win the job. Henne proved nothing during his collegiate career, except how to be a marginal QB with massive talent surrounding you.

Beck was quite the opposite.

I am not getting into this entire Beck fans versus Henne fans. I personally like Beck and hope he does well, but at the same time I am very happy with the Henne selection. Henne is not some bum that a lot of fans here are making him out to be. He was a last 1st round/early second round talent that fell to us very late in the second round.

Having two talented young QBs like Beck and Henne compete will only bring out the best in them. I want a franchise QB, and it doesn't matter to me which one of those two QBs in turns out to be.

I will throw this out, I remember a Michigan QB that was drafted in the 6th round a few years back who didn't exactly light things up either coming out of college. I think he turned out to be a pretty good pro player.

I'm not a beck basher at all, but i wouldnt be so confident as to say 'that settles it' i would probably be more inclined to say the opposite and say that this throws the starting job wide open we have 3 potential starters on the roster now, i fail to see how that makes beck the definite starter here. I hope that if he is he does awesome for us though!! But also in saying that i dont care who it is as long as they are chalking up W's

Bob Griese can think whatever he wants. If all Henne proved was that he was a marginally talented QB with massive talent, then he certainly proved he was the type of guy that Parcells and Co. would be willing to hang their hat on. With the trading of Booker and the drafting of Henne, it's been proven beyond the shadow of a doubt that all the team is interested in is doing things their way. I thought it was the height of arrogance to have it be told that they were all grooming their successors when it should have been their first priority to fix this team. Nope, they'll just trade for as many Cowboys as they can get and coast. Yay for us.

It's way to early to start saying it will be Beck's team season.

Parcells got his type of quarterback and a John Beck slip up and he'll be riding the bench the rest of his career.

John Beck will win the starting job. He's gonna be atleast somewhat better than Henne this year theres no way around it. But it looks to me that Parcells might favor Henne just cause its "his" QB. Something tells me though that we might be in for another looooooooong disappointing season. Here's to John Beck winning the starting job though... :buddwalk:
