The other team's Backup quarterbacks are better than ours. Or at least they played better. I don't know what's the deal with Matt Moore but he has not been good. I would even say he's been bad. Maybe that's a product of our backup online not being very good but I the other QB's were able to avoid pressure, rollout and make plays, Mat Moore hasn't. Josh freeman was able to do it on that last TD drive climbing the pocket and shuffling back into the pocket to avoid pressure and make the TD throw to the TE. Problem with him is.... He's not consistent. And is bad more often than he is good. MBT is no good either. I really hope Thill stays healthy.

Yes, Moore has not been bad, he has been very bad. At this point, I would see how he plays in the next two games and if he doesn't pick up his game I'd cut him and hire a QB off the waiver wire.

I was just about to say Matt Moore before I opened this thread. but I do think Moore needs better protection

1. Cedric Thomas missed 3 major tackles in garbage time. Heck he is a rookie only played the position 1 year in college give him time.
2. Offensive line backups are pretty poor keeps the Pressure on our QBs
3. Which leads us to the QBs throwing intercepts. Moore threw 3 last game but the opponents only caught one, the other 2 backups not much better.
4. Weak backup linebacking

John Harbough recently said his team didn't even prepare for the high paced Philly offense in there Pre season game.

Why?

Because no one gives a crap about winning Pre season games!

For **** sakes, the coaches talk before games and tell each other what there going to do.

And if this pass rush doesnt get to the qb you got serious issues in the lb and secondary...so pray for the pass rush to mask weaknesses

don't you agree that we need a more mobile back up. I think if we can at least run read option with the backup QB. we would be serviceable, who do I suggest? idk Joe Webb looked really good but he's probably Carolinas 3rd QB.

If a lot of stock was put into back up quarterback play in preseason than I guess Tyrod Taylor is Hall of Fame bound.

Matt Moore is fine and his job isn't to win the game in preseason but run the plays called so Fins front office & coaching staff can evaluate other players on the field. He's done an admirable job starting for the Fins and coming in relief. Why all of sudden would this change?

I dont think it much matters...its such a drop off it doesnt matter

I was going to say, 'Because preseason doesn't mean ****,' but you actually bring up a very valid point. I mentioned in a draft thread that TJ Yates figures to be the 3rd QB on the Atlanta roster, and if they only keep two, I'd view him as an upgrade over Moore. His numbers don't look great, and he threw a terrible INT over the weekend, but he's made a number of plays, where his receiver just drops the pass. I think the Atlanta media is significantly underselling his performance - at least in Week 2. Didn't see Week 1.

The DB's are much better the you are giving them credit for and the LB's will be just fine....This defense will be in the top 10 easily and most likely top 5.
