The 2 players I Hope We DON'T Draft

C.Long and J.Flacco

I really cant see how c.long can fit into our 3-4 . He's too small to be a DE in the 3-4 and i really cant see him being a LB in a 3-4 . Again these are just my opinions . I rather have J.Long with this pick and draft another O-line like B.Alberts in the 2nd round .

An Flacco couldn't play in Pitt . He was crap . Then he goes to D-2 and dominates . I think almost about any D-1 QB who transfers to a D-2 school that was already a good team can dominate . When was the last time we saw a good D-2 QB play good in the NFL. I i know people keep raving about his arm strength and his size , But if thats the case then why isnt J.lorenzen of the gianst a starter ................

Just opinons , i like to hear what you guys have to say :woot:
 
after watching the NFL network guys drool over Chris Longs athleticism at the combine I would venture to say that he could make the transition to OLB
 
To say Flacco was crap at Pitt is like saying Wanny knows QB's. Nothing wrong with Flacco...he left Pitt to have a chance to play football. When you hear scouts say you can hear his throws...it reminds me of one player...Marino.
 
If we wanted to get a 3-4 OLB i think the guy from ohio state ( cant spell his name ) Or harvey from florida would be better choices . So i rather go with what we need more which is a franchise LT like j.long.
 
I think there is a good chance we could end up with both of them.

Long can absolutely play OLB and be great at it. Flacco has a ton of potential although I don't see him starting right away.
 
Exactly Flacco couldnt get playing time because he couldnt beat out the qb in front of him . Therefore he wasnt good enough to start for a D-1 school who was crap at the time

Harvey outweighs Long by 20 pounds, if Long can't play OLB what makes you think Harvey can? Not to mention Harvey has never played the position.

Ahhmm...wrong. Flacco didn't get a chance since Wanny already made up his mind to play Palko.

I think Harvey could be the Dolphins selection for the DE spot. Any guy that has a wingspan of 82 inches...has to be really looked hard at.
 
I absolutely want Chris Long. He has the skills and motor to be taken that high ,but even more importantly is his attitude and his ability to bring out the same attitude in his teammates. He has Zach Thomas work ethic / attitude and for some reason it seems to spread out to his teammates.

If Parcell's brings in football players like he says then Chris Long will make them better just from the emotion he will bring with his play.

This isn't a knock on people that want someone else , it's just my 2 cents :)
 
w.e i still think even if flacco started for pitt he would have been at best an ok starter , but the fact that he dominated at D-2 is whats helping him out a lot .

I rather draft J.long at #1 And C.henne with our 2nd - 2nd round pick

Hey thats your opinion and I appreciate it...of course I have my own.
 
I know thats what i said in the beginning of this thread. I saud this was my opinion and i wanted to hear what other people said .
