The 2007 Miami Dolphins had one of the worst seasons ever and there was little hope for the future...... till Bill Parcells and staff came along to save the day.
Bringing in some of the greatest football minds and evaluators of talent the Dolphins began to re establish themselves as a threat to the crown. Bill Parcells preached drive, passion and execution and handed the reigns to an old friend (Sparano) to lead this team to the promise land.
Outcast like Pennington and Porter under recognized players like Starks and Bell were assembled to begin to take back everything that was lost. The tag of "losers" that was given after last year was soon throw out and a new era then began.
Regardless of odds they fought and began to climb up towards the peak of the sport. Now so close to the promise land the Dolphins face their toughest task yet.
The Jets, a team once regarded as elite and unstoppable is now a desperate team, one who has lost its way and must try to find itself once again if it wants carry the title of champion, lead by an ever aging QB and a coach dubbed the mangenius they look to bookend the season with wins over the Dolphins.
In the Jets way stands a proud young defense, eager and hungry to prove their accomplishments are no fluke. And an efficient offense lead by the man the Jets showed the door an offense that has many faces and many weapons waiting to show the sports world what they can do.
With a nation of eyes upon the Meadowlands this Sunday who will get the last laugh of 2008? Will a young eager team be crowned champion or will the Jets take their place back atop the east.
