We have two decent players on the D? We have two elite players in Suh and Jones. Grimes, Misi, Jenkins, Phillips (projecting a little but for a rookie), OV, Shelby (assuming they stay) are all decent in my estimation. I understand we're not solid on that side of the ball, we need to get better but let's not exaggerate.
we have Suh and Jones. I would be willing to consider the future of every other player on our D. When Wake takes the pay cut we will have 3.

Fix the oline. If they are anywhere around 15th as a unit, they will be fighting for playoffs.
If .... Bumpus is hired as the gameday beer quality control technician. We might still miss the playoffs, but I'll be too drunk to notice.

1). If Pats get ****y and feel like NFL is no longer watching and they deflate more footballs only to be caught and banned from playoffs for current season - unchecked
2). Jets for some reason start Geno Smith - unchecked
3). The Bills keep Rex as HC and support his idea of hiring Rob to run the D - check!
So with only one of those things happening thus far, 1 in 3 shot we make playoffs(has to be better odds then Browns tho right!). In all seriousness, with the hiring of the hot name coach, new stadium look coming, etc.. Ross and even fans(myself included) will hype the hell out of upcoming season and feel like this is it, it's we do as fans with repeating cycle year in and year out. I would love to make playoffs even if it's one and done, it's improvement over what we have seen and I truly feel like if matched up against a team like the Colts, Chiefs, Texans, Chargers in a playoff game we could very well take it. Reality is though, the new figure heads of the team are going to right the ship but a little bit at a time, after years of tweaking, ignoring holes, etc.. team is no "one offseason" away from being in playoffs(I'll still root and believe we can though lol).

Well now that we rid ourselves of our "field general" who's been guilty of aiding and abetting our enemies... we will stand a chance if our QB can wake up Monday mornings without pissing blood. :up:
