Look, no one gives us a chance. We can't let them roll up and just kick our a... We have to stand toe to toe with them. I believe our defense is strong enough to contain them. Might have to score 30 to win. If we play them close that will show the rest of the nfl that we have arrived. I actually see us winning this one but i won't be too upset if its a close loss

I believe a few of us have said a close loss would be a cause for optimism. A close loss means the O showed some life

We all know straight up KC wins.

Not sure they have the better “team,” because we probably have the edge on D
and teams. But they have Mahomes, Kelce and Hill and Edwards-Helaire etc.

We have a rookie QB and… Their O is well beyond what we’ve got. BUT…

Gotta give us a punchers chance. We need some good bounces and less
than perfection on their part. Good chance coaching plays a part…

Hoping for a really good show!

I've predicted that we are going to get rolled here... so I'd take it as a real moral victory if we can beat the spread (7.5). If we can stay close with a team like this, then we can plot what it takes to catch (and pass) them.

A win? That would shock the NFL as a whole and provoke more Dolphins puff pieces than any of us can imagine.

This is a game that I won’t bother using it as a gauge for where we are as a team because there’s a good chance we lose by double digits
However if we win or lose by a close one you can bet the league will take notice and I’d say we could feel really good where we’re going

I think the offense will have to have its best game. A coming out party, so to speak, for Tua.

Mahomes is tough on any defense.

If the running game can find a way to get going we have a shot. That’s the key to me. Ball control, good defense.

I don’t think we have a shot to win a shoot out based on how the offense with Tua has performed. We have been atrocious on 3rd down.

Well, it is a league that LOVES hype.

Maybe the refs like us for once.

Stay within punching distance like Washington did with Pittsburgh. Stick with the run and shorter passes...even if we are down 14 or more in the 1st half.

If we get tricked into a slugging match it could be over by halftime.

Somehow if they manage to beat KC it sends a bold message that theoritically they can beat anyone in the NFL. But this game really is about matchups and i think compared to say a Patriots team we match up better againt KC.

For example they can run the ball but not the way Denver or NE can and we're more equiped to stop that kinda running game. PM can run and scramble but not with the strenght and quickness a Cam, Allen or Murray can.

Agree with most of that... but as always, I think our best bet is to ring the QBs bell early. Just hit him with a savage shot or two... I don't want to hurt him... much.

I read a novel one time... it was a story set on an alternate Earth. The protagonist was a vampire who had been an NFL QB.

Magic worked in this world and sometimes it happened spontaneously when emotions were high. The QB was absolutely leveled on a huge play in the Super Bowl, and with half the fans hoping he was alive, and half of the fans hoping that he was dead... the world's passive magic converted him into the undead.

I suppose that this reflects my feeling on Mahomes. I don't want him dead exactly...
