The AFC east is getting love and the Dolphins are getting the respect they need.

Why on earth do the Dolphins need respect? Respect from a sportswriter is the last thing they need to worry about.
 
I'm all for getting no respect.

Let's not start putting expectations on our guys, keep it on our opponents.

I believe what you meant to say there is *Nothing to take for granted.* If it's somthing to be taken for granted, that would mean that you always think, or assume is happening. ie; "Oh, the Bills respect us? Of course they do. They always respect us." And, that was not an article about other teams respecting us. That's just a sportswriter and his opinion.

At any rate, it was nice to see a sportswriter munching a little crow. People want to dog guys when they eat crow. Honestly, I think it shows class to go back and admit you were wrong.

I have always gone through life with a mantra that involves respect. I will not ask for it. I will demand it though my actions, though, I honestly don't care wether I have it or not. The less respect I have, means that my opponants, or whomever underestimate me, which favors me.

But, hey..That's just me.
 
I wish these guy's would do their damn job. Calling Miami the worst team in the league this year simply because they were 1-15 last year is lazy, poor research. Miami made a ton of changes this off season in the personell, coaching staff and FO. I really hate reading opinions based on things that happened under totally different circumstances a year ago. All the changes that were made this off season are starting to show in the Dolphins effort, but these media types are just now seeing all the changes we made from a year ago and are surprised?

Look I'm not askin the media to be psychic, but damn, how can you have the same information today that you had 6 months ago, yet you can't use common sense to make a simple evaluation? 6 months ago we had the same HC, same FO and mostly the same personell. The media could predict that we were still the same awful team at that point 6 months ago, but they couldn't predict us being any better? That's crap, get out of the business if you're unable to use something as simply as commn sense. Hell I never went to school for journalism, but I could do a better job evaluating the NFL then these lazy clowns.

Its like that with everyteam. Until we prove we are better than 1-15 we are. We have proven we are not the same team. I will say we should not have been a 1-15 team with last year's talent but huge misteps at Qb and free agency hurt us. Not to mention I feel Cameron lost the respect of the team after the Culpepper debacle and it got worse .

The main reason we only won 1 game last year is because of all the injuries to our secondary.

We played alot of close games, if Bell stayed healthy we would have won a few more.

Sportswriting, is, by definition an opinion, and, therefore entertainment based journalism.
 
i wish this article would have never been written.. the last thing we need is are young players gettin big heads after these last 2 impressive wins.. hopefully sparano and Mr. Bill will keep these guys in a straight line..
