I was just wondering if n e one agreese with me that NE wont be as explosive as they were in previous years. Due to player losses and coaching staff losses. So this is a chance for other teams to step up. The teams I see going deep in the play-offs are the Steelers, Chargers, and maybe the Jets/Dolphins. What do yall think?

Heres a chance to evaluate teh teams of the AFC

I agree and I think it's about time for the Patriots to lose some of their staff and players...

I don't think the Dolphins will go that deep in the playoffs then again it's saban coaching anything is possible

The reason I said Miami to go deep was because I dont c n e other weak teams from last year steeping up and surprisissng the league. There is much room for improvement and i think Saban takes that very seriously.

Steelers have a good chance but they haven't really addressed their need for a cb unless Colclough steps up.
Colts offense will definately carry them and I predict they beat the Pats this year. I think the Colts have a good chance to reach the SB. They really need M.Jackson to make an instant impact.
Ravens are also going to be a very tough team. They had a great draft and picked up some good free agents. Mason and rookie M.Clayton will provide great targets for Boller. Combined w/ their always dominate defense, this team can go places.
As for the Dolphins. I predict great improvement from last season but no playoffs. Too many question marks. .500 or above would be a good year.

I hate to say this, but I promised myself that I would not count the Pats out as long as BB is the coach and they PROVE they aren't elite any longer...seems like everytime I counted them out in the last 4 years, they proved me wrong...so....

No, I don't think they will lose too much with the losses they have had...I may be singing differently in December...but until they start to lose again...I just can't bet against them...

This is a very tough thing to say from Fins fan, like I am too...

I think the Pats will take a downturn this year. Not replacing Weis I think is going to haunt them

-I see the Steelers falling off this year. Teams are going to start game planning for big Ben. There Secondary is a huge question mark. I also think there RB's won't be able to produce like they did last year.

-I see Balt taking a step up this year to be a contender. There D is sick and there offense all of a sudden has alot of weapons. If Boller can just play decent they will be hard to beat

-The Wild Card teams in the AFC are the Chiefs and the Raiders. Both could either be really good or really bad. Both have very explosive offenses but lag a little on defense. Look for the Raiders to put 28 up a game but w/ there Defense they could also give up 30. The Chiefs made strides on the defensive side of the ball this year. I think that they have gone w/ the motto "If you cant be good on D at least be fast" there is alot of team speed on that side of the ball now. There offense will be fine as long as the O-line comes back in tact. A lot of people don't understand why they can pass on everbody w/ the WR's they have. But if you give any QB in the NFL 5 seconds to throw the ball on a regular basses they are bound to find someone open.
